FFVI Site Opens
Apparently since Final Fantasy III for the DS was so popular, they are planning to make a Final Fantasy VI Advance for the GBA. The original Final Fantasy VI was released for the SNES in 1994. Now they are planning for a Japanese released of the Advanced version on November 30th. There is no news yet, as to when it will be released in the US. But it is believed to be released in the US in spring 2007. Here is a link to Official Final Fantasy VI Advance site.

Final Fantasy XI Acounts Banned
Yesterday, a number of accounts which were confirmed to have violated
the user agreement by using unauthorized third-party software tools
within Final Fantasy XI to enable abnormal in-game movement were
discovered and have been suspended or permanently terminated.
Based on the results of an investigation, over 1,400 PlayOnline
accounts have been either suspended or terminated on Oct. 19, 2006 for
the malicious and intentional use of these third-party tools.
Damn Hackers

The critically-acclaimed Video Games Live concert will be continuing
it's worldwide tour next month, making it's way over to London.
After
massive crowds in the US since last year, the tour's now moving on to
the UK, with it's first major show at the Hammersmith Apollo in London
on the 25th of November.
The concert will feature many of our
favourite songs from different games across a range of genres -
appearing among these, of course, Final Fantasy, with the songs "One
Winged Angel" (Nobuo Uematsu - FF7) and "Liberi Fatali" (Nobuo Uematsu
- FF8 ).

12 Days of Final Fantasy XII: Tofu Records [Day Five]
Day 5 of the 12 days of Final Fantasy XII. IGN takes a tour of Tofu Records.
The Tofu Records office is nestled within the larger Sony/BMG building
in breezy Santa Monica. Inside the confines of the Tofu workspace the
small staff toils away in typical indie label fashion. As one might
expect from a company that splits its attentions between the US and
Japan, the office is packed with cool Japanese promo items, great swag,
and plenty of yummy food (see the bento box in the gallery).
In addition, everyone there is very kind and welcoming, from General
Manager Nadeshiko Nakahara to Sales and Promotions VP Daitetsu 'DT'
Kuroki. While everyone helped show us around, Mechelle Lois (who does a
lot of everything around the office and beyond) and designer/webmaster
Barry Hamaguchi did the majority of the tour-giving. They pointed out
fun stuff like the special tea in the fridge and the merch pile at the
back of the office.

October 18th. The maintenace will start at 10:00 and last for five
hours to 15:00 (PDT). All servers will be offiline during the
maintenace.
Once this maintenance is completed, the client update will start
automatically after logging back into Final fantasy XI. Just follow the
instructions that appear on your screen. You may receive errors such as
"POL-1160" or "POL-0010" during the download process due to heavy
server traffic. If you are unable to access the update, they ask that
you please wait a while and then try again.

With two weeks to go until the release of Final Fantasy XII, details are now oozing out in regards to a North American release of the Square-Enix maega-hit Final Fantasy XII's soundtrack. IGN's twelve days of Final Fantasy XII got a first glimpse at the proposed album cover for Final Fantasy XII's soundtrack, amidst a flurry of public relations acivity preluding the game's release. Though the album cover reads "selections," we can only hope this won't be a shameful repeat of Final Fantasy VIII and IX soundtracks, which divided the FMV pieces from the in-game music. Enjoy, and let the final countdown begin!
