Nintendo's mascot has been making regular appearances at the world's videogame shows for well over a year now, but it's still difficult to resist one more play on the Italian plumber's intergalactic platformer. As it turns out our addiction actually paid off this time, as the Nintendo representatives informed us that this was the first time that the 'Beam Star Trail' level has been shown to the press. We spent a good few minutes checking it out, and while it was certainly a tricky level to navigate, we definitely had a lot of fun with it.

Leipzig Games Convention 2007
It was a bit of a surprise when Capcom brought the hugely successful Resident Evil series to Nintendo's GameCube, which, for better or worse, had become known as a family friendly system. Now that the Wii has become hugely successful across all demographics it's no shock at all that Resident Evil is headed to the Wii in the form of Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles. We've seen the game not once, but twice before, and at the Leipzig Games Convention we got a third taste of the game in the form of a new playable level.
