May we all have a Marxist Christmas

Santa Marx has just arrived in town with presents for all of us. He brings us hope for a better future.

So, comrades, I wish you a wonderful Christmas with your fellow comrades and family but don't forget to help your compatriots in this time of happiness.

And when you sit near the Christmas tree in your warm room, eating and drinking all the delicacies and listening to music on your audio system, please remember that there are many people who are not as fortunate as you are, who sit in their broken houses, hungry and cold.

Remember that this is what we strive for: Freedom, Equality and Brotherhood.

The Russians want USSR back.

Almost 85% of the old people regret that the empire, where they passed msot fo their lives has gone. 67% of the  people about 40 years old also think they lived better in the Soviet country.

According to the Russian institute of people's opinion, 57% of the habitants of the country still regret for the crumble of the Soviet Union. For comparison the last year the people that regret were with 2% lower. The rush-hour of the nostalgia was in 2000, when 75% of Russia's population wanted USSR back.

The social layer that regrets the most are the people with low education and low income. And only 28% of the people think that the crumble of the USSR was unavoidable.

Not a surprising fact, because even now, 20 years later, most of the people in my country, that was not part of the USSR, want the socialist regime back.

The Modern Soviet Desktop

After posting the Soviet Union wallpaper yesterday I thought I'd create a KDE theme showcasing the Soviet Desktop.

The following is KDE 4.3 running on Gentoo Linux x86_64. Click for larger picture.

If you want any details / help on it, be sure to tell me about it.

Reminder: Don't forget about the Videos section

A lot of people still think that little button up in the right corner called Videos leads to an empty space. That is false.

This union does take advantage of the video system, unlike others. Don't forget about that!

Thanks for the attention.

Afghan Taliban spokesman: We will win the war

"He won't look me in the eye, won't engage in any small talk, and looks more ill at ease than I feel." Zabiullah Mujahid is one of two spokesmen for the reclusive Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Omar. In a rare and exclusive interview with CNN's Nic Robertson, he says the Taliban will never be defeated in Afghanistan no matter how many foreign troops are sent in.

Swine flu: Hysteria is the real danger, some say

As the number of swine flu cases continues to rise around the world, so is a gradual backlash -- with some saying the threat the virus poses is overblown.

Don't forget the Videos section

I will find some time to upload a couple of videos that I (and hopefully so will you) like.

Users can also upload whatever videos they want, as well as they don't have exaggerated graphical content.

Don't forget the feedback!
