Star Wars Battlefront III Footage LEAKED!!!

http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.pspfanboy.com/media/2008/07/battlefront3white.jpg

YES! BF3 is coming! actual footage from the game has been leaked on Youtube. Gamespot has confirmed with a Free Radical employee that this is actual footage of an internal video shown in November for the in-development game. The footage depicts almost 6 minutes of gameplay and depicts lightsaber duels, firefights, aerial combat, and cutscenes. This looks great!

Alpha footage of SW BF3

NOT a rick roll!

It's hard to tell, but in the end it shows what consoles the game is coming out for. It looks like PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and something else, possibly PS2 or PSP.

Banner Color Theme

I am currently working on new banners for the union, and I thought it would be cool to let union members participate. Me and FoSh!zzlie have already agreed to make it a bunch of characters from star wars and PSP games. Sort of a collage.

You guys get to choose the color theme though. Over on the forums you can participate in the poll. Click Here.

Also FoSh!zzle has made some new tags that you can put in your sig:

Battlefront III coming to PSP?

http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.pspfanboy.com/media/2008/07/battlefront3white.jpg

It appears that Battlefront III was listed for release on amazon.com for Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, DS, PSP, and PlayStation 2. It is currently not listed anymore; the BF3 listing was probably a leak. Hopefully we will hear about BF3 at E3. It is definitely coming.

IGN Force Unleashed PSP Hands-on

We take the secret apprentice on a handheld romp.

Now, no doubt, you've heard all about the console versions of the Force Unleashed and how they will make use of some crazy physics engine that allows you to crush walls and toss crap around. Although that level of destruction and manipulation isn't on the PSP, we can tell you that after lightsabering our way through the first two stages of the game, the handheld rendition of the Force Unleashed is far from any kind of Sith Slump. While bumming 'round the LucasArts office, we got to see every iteration of the Force Unleashed and can report that when you boot up your PSP, you're getting the same voiceovers and the same story of Darth Vader and his secret apprentice as the console versions.

http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg77/FoShizzle17/star-wars-the-force-unleashed-20-1.jpg

Although you'll play the majority of the game as the apprentice -- name withheld to protect the evil -- the initial outing in the game's story mode casts you as Mr. Padmé himself, Darth Vader. At its most basic level, the Force Unleashed will be all about this dynamic Dark Side duo running around the galaxy and waxing any and all Jedi holdouts. This opening level is no different as Vader lands on Kashyyyk to terminate a former colleague. [read more]

Force Unleashed Interview - PS2, PSP and Wii

New GameSpot interview about the PS2, PSP, and Wii versions! It looks like the big thing about the PSP version is Unleashed mode, which offers you special modes like Order 66 and historic missions. We also get ad-hoc wireless multiplayer (next-gen versions don't have multiplayer).

Rumor: The Force Unleashed Delayed until September?

There's been a rumor circulating about the Force Unleashed being delayed yet again, this time until September. Check out this PSP Updates article:

The image

If you were among those eagerly awaiting the arrival of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (PS3, PS2, PSP, Xbox 360, Wii, DS), we have some potentially upsetting news. There's apparently a rumor in circulation that hints that the game's expected April launch will be delayed.

No other details are available at this point on why it's been pushed back, although the rumor hints that we could be facing a September launch. We make mention that IGN has listed Force Unleashed for an August launch, though we note it's unclear if this is indeed the case.

So, where does that leave us? One bit of speculation we picked up via Destructoid hints the delay was due to Grand Theft Auto 4's (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) upcoming launch, which is also this coming April.

GTA4 was also the recent topic of discussion by Mike Hikey. The Janco Partners analyst assessed that Rockstar's game could spell trouble even for the debut of the Iron Man movie for early May.

Of course, we remind you guys that this is just a speculation - visit us again in case we receive more solid info regarding when The Force is sure to be Unleashed.

[Via Gamervision]

I hope that they at least don't delay the PSP version...

PocketGamer Force Unleashed PSP Hands-on

Another exciting preview of the Force Unleashed for PSP:

Anakin Skywalker may bring balance to the Force, but it's up to you to unleash it. George Lucas has made clear his space opera won't continue in film, opting instead to expand the Star Wars canon in other media. The Force Unleashed leads this effort by putting you in the middle of the tragic saga as no other game in the franchise has done before. "This is Star Wars in your face," asserts project lead Haden Blackman. Following our first-ever look at the PSP version, we're inclined to agree.

Set in the period between Episodes III and IV, this latest game elaborates on the nebulous span of time glossed over in the films. You don the cloak of Darth Vader's apprentice as he works to expand the corrupt empire of Darth Sidious. Extermination of the Jedi stands as your top order, taking you across the galaxy in search of the last vestiges of the Jedi order.

Your dastardly work begins in a TIE Fighter construction facility that has been seized by a Jedi master. Darth Vader has instructed you to leave no witnesses, which means eliminating not just Jedi but also Imperial troopers. Once your mission has wrapped up in the facility, you travel to a range of planets, from the forested Wookie homeworld of Kashyyyk to the junkyard of Raxus Prime.

As we reported last autumn, The Force Unleashed also brings an exclusive batch of levels to PSP, including a hidden area in Bespin's Cloud City, special training scenarios at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, and a not-so-happy-hour at a dilapidated bar on Nar Shaddaa. [read more]

Force Unleashed 1up Mini-Preview

yep, another preview of the Wii/PSP version of the Force Unleashed (screens included):

Most of you have probably heard of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed because of the hype surrounding the 360 and PS3 versions. But for those who don't own either console, LucasArts' game will be coming to nearly every platform this summer. At a recent press event, we saw the Wii and PSP games in action, so let's get this out of the way: These are not lower resolution ports of the 360/PS3 one.

Unleashed may have the same basic story and gameplay in across all platforms -- following the story of Darth Vader's secret apprentice and allowing players to use powerful force abilities -- but the PSP and Wii games have some of their own levels and bosses. One such level is set in the ruins of a Jedi temple, where you fight your way to a Jedi trial, and then take on the ghost of an ancient Sith master. Force Unleashed Gamespy Preview

Yes! Another preview!

Although every version of The Force Unleashed will follow the story of Darth Vader's Jedi-whupping apprentice, each version of the game will also have unique features and gameplay design. LucasArts stressed this heavily, but it also showed in the gameplay: these are not ports. There is one team on the HD versions, one studio on the PSP, PS2, and Wii versions, and one studio on the DS versions. The PSP is actually getting one of the most promising unique features: historical matches. [read more]
