Shakhtar wins the last UEFA Cup

MATCH REPORT by ILIASTSE
Donetsk is on fire tonight, as Shakhtar won the last UEFA Cup and became the first Ukranian team to have won a European competition.
Adriano 1-0
Naldo 1-1
Jadson 2-1
The Ukranian side started the game with their usual 4-2-3-1 formation and their Brazilian players that brought them here tonight, while Bremen lined up a 4-3-1-2 with Ozil trying to play the anti-Diego role, since the Brazilian star was suspended.
Shakhtar created their first chance early in the game with Jadson finding Adriano at the edge of the box. Adriano broke Bremen's offisde trap but failed to beat Wiese and sent the ball just wide. The right flank was Shaktar's main attack threat with Dario Srna and Ilsinho having a very good work rate, while Fernandinho was surprisingly playing as a defensive midfielder.
And at 25' Rat with an excellent pass found Adriano, he run for a couple of meters and with a nice shot, he beat Wiese to make it 1-0 for Shakhtar.

Adriano had another chance for goal a couple of minutes later, but his shot from inside the box went just wide.
At 35' Bremen won a free kick. Naldo usually takes these kind of long free kicks as his has a very strong foot. And so he did. The ball went past through Shakhtar's wall, but Pyaton instead of turning it away, he seemed as he tried to catch the ball, but it slipped from his hands and went to the back of his nets. The Germans had equalized.

Just three minutes after that, Pyatov had another poor effort and didn't hit the ball with his fists. Luckily for him, Pizarro couldn't direct his header from close range. After a long time, Shakhtar had a good shot from long range, but Lewandowski's thunder was parried by Wiese.
In the 2nd half, Wiese showed his cl@ss again, this time on Jadson's free kick. Overall the 2nd half wasn't as good as the 1st. Bremen missed their biggest chance in the game when Pyatov parried Pizarro's header from close range and Pyaton said no again to Hunt's shot. And so regular time ended with 1-1.
At extra time Croatian full back Dario Srna had a very nice shot which got parried by Wiese (possibly the best play of Bremen). But Srna decided to do what he knows best, create chances. At 97' he made a nice run from the right flank, crossed it low and found Jadson in the heart of Bremen's defence. Jadson didn't miss...

At the end of 1st half's extra time, Willian almost secured it for Shakhtar but his lob went just over Wiese's post. Bremen came so close to bring the game level again with Tziolis, but his shot went inches wide.
