Painkiller: Resurrection User Review
- Difficulty:
- Just Right
- Time Spent:
- 10 Hours or Less
- The Bottom Line:
- "Almost, but not quite"
A good game, with a few major flaws, namely a lackluster storyline (no real plot development), too short and a little too difficult. The biggest flaw however: you get lost too much! The game doesn't have any 'ingame markers' save the checkpoint pentagrams to lead you around, and in some of the levels they are few and far between.
Those things aside however, if you are able to overlook those flaws, it is a good purchase.... though not for 29.99, wait until it gets into the bargain bin for 15 dollars or less before you purchase, to make up for the sheer lack of missions in the game.
Now, some people have said that this game is 'buggy'.... I honestly haven't seen that. I have had a crash here and there, but I blame that more on 'teething pains' than the game being buggy.
I've had other games crash on occasions from problems, and it's par for the course with first-person shooter games right now.
