I played this game few years ago and I am going to replay it in the near future because I found it strewed with horror moments. I love FPS games and this one was one of my favourite for its shoot and duck system. There's no story in it, you have maps that you have to clear of monsters and zombies and other hellish creatures. You are an anger on earth and you have to fight against the forces of evil. some of the bosses are a pest, they can't be killed at ease; the gamer must find they weak spot and only then he'll be capable to end it all. The weapons are fantastically designed, some seemed to have arrived from the Dark Ages, spears and arrows, slingshots and the monsters are truly well designed and frightening. The thing is that after a while, the actions might seem repetitive and the gamer might get bored. I did not test the multiplayer yet, because I was in the impossibility to upgrade to a new multiplayer server. Overall it's a great FPS and all the FPS lovers would like it. However, it won't be let a mark in the FPS history.

Painkiller is a game where you either love it, or hate it. I'm reviewing both Painkiller and Battle Out Of Hell.

Being a simple beat 'em' up shooter is what makes this game so great. You play this game, you are going to kill things.

Painkiller harkens back to the roots of FPS, but adds a gothic and gory setting to top it all off.
