    I bought this game as blindly as my first foray into PC gaming. I have a gateway GT5670 and I made a bunch of upgrades like and Nvidia GTX+ 9800 more powerfull power supply and 4 gigs of G.Skill memory and some new case fans. I blindly bought this game cus I own a PS3 and wanted to experience the game that made the 360 worth having with out actually owning one. So I far i would say the game is ok and i'm enjoying it. I didn't make any changes to the default graphical settings but I will just to see how far I can push it. It's like having a much more reliable 360. BTW Keyboard and Mouse FTW

    pc version sucks compared to the xbox version because the pc has tons of problems the 360 version does not have.

    i can run it on high with a 7800. it looks really great, the framerate will drop randomly and only on part with no action and enemies. It can just randomly slow down when Marcus talks on this headset

    I think the PC version is way better than the XBOX version not only because of extra features but because shooters are played better on the PC,thanks to standard mouse and keyboards.

    i think its overrated.its a childish game and stupid story.but its a quality game.and 3rd person shoooters sucks except dead space.

    I don't know if my pc can run this game on res 1152x768 or not.
    if it's lower than this, then i won't buy it.
    but it costs only 2/5 of QOS.

    MoHRifle plz dude the game has no story its short bad levels even mass effect and brother in arms has better combat than this average game, it looks too fake and has fake weapons also if you die nobody heals you unlike the allies i dont get whats the point of taking cover if it doesnt help to avoid taking hits but only too heal up and finnaly the weak dumbt weapons are a joke its an overated game for x360!

    amazing single player...multiplayer feels sluggish and there seems to be no strategy involved but the single player more then makes up for it. and foca gamespot likes to use controllers on PC's (no clue why, keyboard/mouse can own controllers any day)

    Actually, the PC version does show the "press Y button" prompts ONLY IF you have a 360 controller connected. Also, the graphics are clearly on low-medium. High definitely look as good, if not better, than the 360 version as long as you can run it.

    It's VERY CLEAR that all the images on this video review were taken from the 360 version, they didn't even try to hide that, there's "press Y button" appearing on the screen lots of times... and the graphics??? C'MON Jeff!! The graphics on the PC version are WAAAAAAAAAY better than that, shadows for example are WAY more realistic, and dark areas are really dark and intense... I played this game on the 360 and thought the graphics were "meh..." and then played the PC version, and WOW, what a difference, the game became a whole lot more creepier and all the effects like particles, explosions, blood, shadows and even the textures are WAY better on the PC!
    And, of course, some people might disagree but, I prefer 100 times to play shooter games with a MOUSE instead of an analog stick, so even if I have to wait 2 years to play this game on the PC, I would! (my 2 cents)

    Maybe you should stick with Final Fantasy. Amongst the horrid grammar and never-ending sentences in your comment, I sense alot of bitterness. Maybe Gears of War was just too hard for you? I also believe that the minimum brain cell requirements to play this game aren't that high. On average of at least 5-10 brain cells should do you fine when trying to comprehend the Gears of War story. Resistance? Aliens in WWII? Better than Gears of War? I think not. Just my humble opinion. Oh, and by the way, the PC version is simply put the sickest looking version out and well worth the money. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of both versions. Enjoy.

    gears is a great game. the reason they shoot you is because thats what theyre there for. maybe you should be playing animal crossing or some crap. and gears has a story but kane and lynch just ripped off heat or something

    overrated no story the weapons are dumb and shooting? you stay behind cover if you stand up you get shotted too many enemies they shooting you at the same time you die they alll shoot at the same time if you stand up and aim at someone that takes cover and you take hit before you even seen him stand up DUMB COMBAT also the ally AI is dumb they bug up all the time and enemy ai runs to cover and shoot you and neve misses also to aim you got to zoom in so zooming in with a shotgun at small close areas, is not working right and the ai sticks all the bullets in you while you get frustrated try to aim and and if an ally die you touch him and he is back but if your character dies load checkpoint, also the game asks you to shoot barrels to create light or ro you dont die thanks to some bats that kill you if you step in the darkness so at soem point you got to push a burning car wreckage to create light, do ihave to be psychic to know that? also at some point you cover someone wih a light like a minigame and you drive a vehicle that you stop and use a uv light so you wont get eaten by bats, the machine gun turret is shielded from the front because if it wasnt you use it and die thanks to everyone shooting you, at some point i tried to go around the turret but i tried to stick to a column for cover but it did not work, and the turret was shooting my allies but evey time i stand up it teleported its shooting direction to me didnt even turn it just magically shooting me before the gunner evne turns it, it looked so dumb, apart form that the game is totaly linear and borring, so screw it and get kane and lynch dead men better combat no bats to kill you in darkness no puzzles better guns better ai and much better story did jeff even seen that gears DOESN'T HAVE A STORY BUT KANE AND LYCNH HAD A GREAT STORY? Or dark sector its better too! Am a pc gamer so gears wasnt my xbox 360 WOW but i got to say that resistance is better!

    I have a core 2 duo 3.5Ghz msi 8800gt and played the game at my screens native resolution of 1680x1050 and v-sync forced on and all settings maxed.. Got 60fps constantly with some dips when blood spattering on screen while grenades exploding in front of me .. but besides that.. smooth as silk. Awesome game and the extra levels where fun!!, actually I noticed my framerate dropping to 56Fps in the new levels added for the pc =S hehe

    Did you played the game with a P4 and a 6800 Gamespot?¿?
    there's no shadows in the game, it looks too bright and the blood looks like crap XD
