I still just can't comprehend the big whoopdy doo surrounding this game.

It looks like more of the same. Graphics don't look that great. Animation looks rough and combat looks standard. Looks like a muddy Oblivion. Looks subpar. Looks average. Looks mediocre. I just don't get it.

Guess it's time to look at this review to see if it's able to show me something worthy of this hype. Because Oblivion wasn't anything special for me. It's fun, but yeah. And Fallout 3 just sucks.

Not to mention this game just came out too fast.

that's a first, a PS3 multi platform game that is better on the PS3 well I'm glad they got one which is surprising seeing how bioware are seasoned xbox vets guess they dropped the ball on this one.

I love this game! I just wish my characters didn't feel like they were so planted into the ground. Let me free roam or jump a bit, for Pete's sake!

this game is probably the best game I played this year and in awhile. took me 61 hr, with most side quests done. I would imagine the PC graphic to be sick, but I got it on the PS3 and it is good. Just would feel more comfortable sitting on a sofa and big tv.

I wished they could switch the 2ndary weapon on the PS3 controll other then the quick sub menu better. Also the ability to cancel cutscene and dialogue, since you seen it the second time.

The PC strikes back we got screwed on MWF 2 but this makes up for it. I know there not the in the same genre but we do win on this one and besides the single player on this def seems to be better then MWF 2, don't get me wrong I love MWF 2 but the campaign was too short.

One thing I wish RPGs did a better job of is combat because many (in my opinion) do not give you enough control over the combat. Though I realize the story is the main draw combat is an integral part of the game as well. In other words it feels almost to... scripted if that is the word I'm looking for. I mean to say when you choose a particular attack, it will always play out in the same fashion. Fallout 3 is a good example of what I mean. It plays like a normal game, but give you the depth of a story, choice, and character progression. So by doing this you create a more immersive experience. In doing this I believe RPGs would become quite a bit more popular than they even are now.

Having played the PS3 version i suggest you all get the PC version, much of the game play will be made much easier by a keyboard and mouse than a pad.

Ayzzai you are not alone! PAUSING is such a let down...I know much time has passed but I loved summoner on the ps2's mechanic, control a character and if you want to switch within your team the others use their own brain.

oh @ 5chr4pn3ll Rly after much more hours played than this reviewer i can tell you 2 bad things.

1st it sometimes crashes. Not often but sometimes.

2nd the classes are really limited. The 4 variations you get for the typical rogue/mage/warrior are pointless, since you'll end up choosing for one rly, since you gonna need like hell a real tank (one that keeps aggro) which will be Alistair or Sten with sword/shield build, one mage (my main is a mage) which if you haven't rolled a mage would be probably Morrigan, and a damage dealer which will be one of the two rogues with dual wield specialization. You get more freedom to make a 4th one what you choose but more or less the best "dressed" warrior, rogue and mage will always be the ones you have in your group.

Also, i dont count this for bad, but i mention it coz some ppl do, it's VERY challenging especially since some places when you begin the main quest are harder than others but there's no linear development and you might end up going to the harder (being the forest, dont go there at first).

Lastly let me say it has incredible variation, with the top point being the long quest-riddle (around 2-3hours) in the Fade...
(i guess i should make a review instead of a comment)

    Some things about this game.

70hours now at Normal, at 30%.

The little dragon is nothing compared to some REAL dragons you'll encounter.

Definitely choose "Surprise me" at the brothel for 5-6 times

This game is a straight 10. TEN. Awsome.

Ok WTF not a single bad thing except some broken q lines?

No game deserves such a positive review even if it's all true.
And I'm not a hater either, I think this game looks like a ton
of fun and I will probably play it and love it. But I hate when people try to tell me only one side of the story, it makes me
trust Gamespot even less than I already do after the previous
incidents (google: gamespot bad review = fired)

    Posted Nov 25, 2009 1:23 pm GMT

Im 100% going to get it but not at the price it is now, ill wait a while, it looks awsome, sortta like Oblivion but more action packed, if you like PC MMORPG's then Fallout 3, Oblivion and this game is the closect you will get to a MMO on a console.
It reminds me of the 1st Guild Wars with much much better graphics and sory.
I just wish there were more MMORPG's/MMOFP's out on PS3 a sim an online gaming addict .
I wold get Oblivion £14 play.com untill this drops in price.
And i totally agree assassins creed 1 & 2 are most probs the best games made on PS3 never let you down.

@BlackCrash06 From personal experience, Assassins Creed 2 is absolutely spectacular. I have not beaten it yet, but everything about the game is well worth it. There is plenty to do in the game, but the main storyline probably wont come close to that of Dragon Age Origins. They are 2 different types of games, just go with what ever one appeals to you more.

You should get Dragonage because you can play it again. With AC 2 once you beat it you're done. DA is the better value. Also get it for the PC.

not a big fan of click and watch your players attack. Seems boring to me, thats my opinion. My version of a awsome rpg is Demon Souls and Final Fantasy(FF is different then this because its just awesome).

    assaultrider..
Just wait until you're in GRADE 12. Then, you will truly have no time. lol..

Anyway. This game looks pretty amazing..Though..I don't know if it cuts the cake for me. Hell, I could still buy Shivering Isles for Oblivion. Still play that game!
I need to decide what game to get for Christmas.

I haven't played this game yet,but I know i'm going to enjoy it.I just wish that the game was as polish as the advertisement showed, the detail of the characters face and movements instead of showing me all that eye candy in the CG cut scenes.I know what some of you are probably saying and im a big boy so i understand the politics of advertisment and luring you in,but BIOWARE did it to some degree with MASS EFFECT.Shepard face looked like the guy in the advertisment and on the game box and doing that made a character you can hang onto and grow with.In this game you have to pick from the regular class, mage rogue, human warrior etc(not that there's anything wrong with that i'm looking forward to picking from either one)I guess when its a great game I just expect more, maybe someday i'll get that seamless transition of advertisement eye candy to where the actual game seems as if its CG. there's nothing wrong with that right...right.

It really lacks to have a PC/Consoles version of this review...

    PS: Looks awesome! =D

I guess I'll buy it on my PS3 since the xbox 360 needs more loading, play with framerate problems, and has faded colors. That's why we need both consoles, lol. This way, I can change between them depending on the game! =D

"When's the last time you truly got lost in a game world? "
"When's the last time you got to know fictional characters so well that you thought about them even when you weren't playing?"

    and

"Keep you up at night and invade your dreams."

He sure isn't kidding with those opening and close comments. sheesh, the last time I was into a game this much was way back in the 90s when I was a 8 year old kid. 80 hours in, and I'm still finding things that keep me interested.
