    i hope you can hijack ships like they usually do in the series, best thing about stargate is it can grow exponentially with the stargate its an excellent story telling tool because it can send you anywhere so they can let their imaginations go crazy when ever they wanna add new locations and give out the gate address ive been waiting to see this game come out for years and years i was worried it was gunna stay cancelled i heard it almost happened a few times, it will make for awsome multiplayer to battling it out in the SGC or in many of the very awsome locals and if it catches on in even more popularity when it comes out it could get to be a very big thing

    Oh no, this looks too much like Star Wars Galaxies Online! I hated that stupid MMORPG. If I hear the gameplay and leveling is like SWG, I refuse to even try it. SAD SAD, Shame on them for ruining a potentially good game!

    I am a Stargate beta tester, and all I can say about the game is Wow its pretty fun but it lags sometimes.

    if you just looking to a grafics you are making mistake couse gameplay is much more important .

    I think this game looks like it has some serious potential. As always, I am still supprised to see people so willing to expose thier own ignorance by saying either "this game is going to suck" or "this game is going to own" so early into development. Thinking it will flop or hoping it will be great are fine, but stop trying to pass that off as fact, please. Also, from the (brief) videos I saw, the graphics look fine to me.

    I still don't understand what's so wrong about the graphics when most are playing Wow and WOAR which look cartoony. I don't see nothing wrong about these graphics, they are at least standard for an mmog

    Magus you cannot ever say a game will be great and worth paying for when it's a mmorpg until it's out.
    The mmorpg genre failure rate is insane. And with a game as far ahead as WoW, that only increases the failure rate of mmorpgs.

    Give it a chance guys, beta testing isn't even out yet. I have no doubt the game will be great and worth paying for. I also think Stargate The Alliance should have been kept alive, that game looked like it showed potential.

    Stargate Worlds is going to be amazing. It's unique, nothing like World of Warcraft or Tabula Rasa. The cover system is really cool; and some conflict can be avoided through talking alone (though you still gain exp) with classes like the archaeologist.

    For those already bashing the game because of its graphics, it's September 10th and closed beta testing has yet to start. A lot of work is going into the game and what's been done so far is a lot considering the short amount of time Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment has spent on it. The game runs on the Unreal 3 engine, so expect it to look a lot better when finished, compared to this old, unpolished footage. If you see something you don't like (like the HUD), it'll likely be very different when open beta testing begins.

    As for the story, it's just right. SGW takes place after the defeat of the replicators and the Goa'uld System Lords and before the war with the Ori. You have your humans, Asgard, free and loyal Jaffa, and your new mind Goa'uld (think Baal, around the time when he starts cloning himself). The story's fine; if it helps, this game does have MGM's backing.

    Anyone knows why i can't download trailers any more? I have the option just to watch them. This is happening after the changes that took place here in gamespot. I downloaded this trailer here but through google. I don't know. Strange. Any help would be appreciated.

    Those graphics were... terrible! Please oh, please tell me that was the beta version? I'm so excited for the game but I've got PC games that are five years old with better graphics then that. Well at least the rest of the game sounds great. Still, I want to see a different trailer, later on with improved gameplay graphics, if I plan to pay monthly for the game.

    I must admit this trailer isn't brilliant, some of the places shown, like the very first scene looks very good. The graphics will improve over time and so will the animations, it takes a long time to really iron out all those creases. As a Stargate SG1 fan i expect a lot but i also know that scripting, modeling, texturing etc. can take a lot of time and effort. So give it a chance guys, it will improve, don't expect it to be the best game ever when released, to be honest games get better as they mature (i.e. updates/patches are made for them) and remember MMORPG mainly focuses on game play rather than graphics.

    the character animations look poor, is this beta or retail video footage? i prefer 1st person view in games anyway but the character looks blocky when moving.

    I really thought that it would look nicer than it obviously does... =/ The UI looks fu ed up. Also the overall gameplay seems a bit too shallow, but I wouldn't mind a second trailer, it might convince me otherwise.

    I think this game is gonna turn out ok but not great. Maybe between 6 and 7.5. I've seen som combat and as dRn says it seems a bit weird, especially the cover system(!!). I really hope that this game will be great. Playing as jaffa is really tempting, asgard too.

    many mention tabula rasa when they see the trailers and such from the gaming show in germany and i must say i agree looks similar but somehow this looks worse.
    i hope it becomes a good game tho.

    this looks alot like City of heroes in the way of the desigen and grakfiks of the maps, i keep expecting a guy with a cap come flying down at the end of the trailer and lifting the pyrimite and throwing it at the ship

    Scenery seems really nice, but I don't like the stiff character animations - I hope it changes at some point. Also from what I have seen of the combat it seems a bit weird, but that might just be because im still comparing to wow.

    It is not new. Or at least they showed the exact same areas they showed off in a video at the gaming conventions over the summer. Similar videos, if not totally identical,have already been widely distributed via their official forums and other sites. We want something truly new, not concept art screenshots like they also put up today.
