I think the MC's name was revealed recently. It's pretty stupid but I forget what it is off-hand. So we'll probably get a release date or something soon.
I want it just because I want to see my favorite characters in anime form (the short anime cutscenes in the game barely count), but as a movie I don't really know how it's going to work out.

I think the name was like Gettarou Yamada. Really stupid name so he will forever be Minato Arisato to me.Replace Gettarou Yamada with Yu Narukami and Minato Arisato with Souji Seta and people were saying identical things about our favorite Investigation Team Leader. Just food for thought.
Although side note, I thought I heard something about Gettarou just being a placeholder name. Let's wait for some sort of official announcement on the name before we start condemning it for a few months before the inevitable acceptance.

There were rumors awhile ago that it would actually be a trilogy, which would be a little better, but I don't believe that came from an official source so take that with a grain of salt.
A game this length would've worked better as a TV show, and it probably would've recieved a compilation movie like P4 did anyways. But whatever, more Persona animation is a good thing, and I'm sure I'll enjoy it regardless of how rushed it turns out.

Gettarou Yamada from what I've looked up is a placeholder name.
Taro Yamada is the Japanese equivalent of John Doe, and the Ge is in reference to Gekkohan.
