erm..a possibly stupid question

i had the honour of picking this game up on release day (and got the bonus skin for preordering, so glad i did!) and words cant even begin to describe what an experience this game has been so far..and im only a few hours in! i love the characters for their personalities and the added bonuses for this version only make it that much sweeter. so my question that ive been wondering since before i got it, is this: how can a game where you only have a limited amount of time to complete everything (ie the one "in game" year) last at least 100 hours, if not significantly more?

im in love with this game and it makes getting a vita right after launch so worth while. im just a little fuzzy on how you can spend so much time on a game where after you do this or that, its another day out of the year thats gone. i dont know if its just me or not, but the days seem to go by quickly so im worried im not getting the most out of each day? thats my one and only "problem" with persona 3 aswell, because of the automatic next day thing (i know you have to go to sleep in order for it to proceed to the next day) but this to me just makes me feel so rushed. and i dont want p4g to be like that too, even though its already a much better experience in my opinion as far as thats concerned. :)

so..i guess my other question is "am i doing the whole persona 3/4 experience as best i can?" i have all 4 on my vita (4 being my new favorite, and 1 running a close 2nd) and i love them all, as well as the whole smt series in general. i just want p4g to last as long as possible, so does any one have any helpful tips or anything to clear some of this up for me? thanks in advance to anyone who responds! persona 4 golden really is so much more than just a game..its the experience of a life time! ...wow that was so cheesy. :P
