I must say, this is more enjoyable than World of Goo. From the different types of zombies (the quarterback zombie, the traffic cone zombie) to the different types of plants (sunflower, shrooms :), it's totally wacky. You get new plants by gathering cards from the last zombie in one level. So it's like a trading card game, and you can get only a limited number of cards in one level. So you gotta check out what zombies you have, and their weaknesses. Instead of mana, like MTG, you use SUN. Also there are some types of plants that give you SUN.
