GF: DENIED! You already have Fire Blast! Go have fun with that!

Drowzee: Why don't I still have Dream Eater learned naturally? Can I have it now?
GF: DENIED! Why would you need Dream Eater that way anyway?
Drowzee: Because I'm a Pokemon that eats dreams! It even says so in my pokedex entry!
GF: Yes, which is exactly why we changed your pokedex entry saying you like fun dreams and not that you eat them! NOW GET OUT!

??? Type: So... I heard you gave my function of handling Egg's type over to Normal...?
GF: Yeah, thought you had your hands full with Curse so I gave it to a type that needed some more attention. What's your beef, anyway?
??? Type: Well, uh... I've been working here as a type for quite some time now and all I have is the move Curse. I was wondering if I could have a promotion. Maybe have some Pokemon of my type?
GF: Well, I've been taking a look at your work progress and it seems you've been slowing a lot of our co-workers down. See, there are some rumors of you having some deals with hackers that alter Pokemon and moves to your type that cause the game to crash.
??? Type: Then maybe it's time I get a full upgrade so those things won't happen?
GF: DENIED!
??? Type: But I seriously have about nothing else! What else am I good for these days?
GF: Good point. And with that, you're FIRED! We'll just give Curse to Ghost.

Game Freak: Any higher stat would break balance. We already gave him a great typing and a good defensive movepool. Having him be able to tear through teams while also blocking any physical hit would be overpowered.

Game Freak: We already gave Absol the strongest priority in the game, and he has amazing Attack. Giving him high defenses would break him, because he has Swords Dance, too, and setting up with high defense would be easy.

Cloyster: Yeah, about that... Why did I have to turn into Water/Ice?
GF: I know. Ain't it great?
Cloyster: Not really... It doesn't give me any extra benefits aside from STAB with Ice. My Grass and Electric weaknesses are still there and got a new weakness to Rock and Fighting! What's more, Fire and Steel now do normal damage to me instead of half!
GF: Yeah, that's what you get with Ice. Be grateful, you get to use Aurora Beam and Icicle Crash now.
Cloyster: As a Shellder I was using Ice type moves just fine without having the type! Can't you make me Water/Steel instead like Empoleon? That would make a lot more sense for me than Ice.
GF: DENIED! Steel didn't exist back in Gen 1!
Cloyster: You gave it to Magnemite who's also from Gen 1!
GF: Yes, so?
Cloyster: Why can't I be like that!?
GF: Because you're Water/Ice and be grateful for that! For an evolved Shellder, it's either THAT or riding on a Slowbro's back with your mouth open on his butt for the rest of your life, so pick your poison! Now GET OUT!

That would actually be really ungrateful of it to b**** about being an Ice-type like that. Now, defensively built Ice-types, like Dewgong and Regice, on the other hand... Not Walrein, though, because you ever use a Stallrein on a Hail team? You should. It's good stuff.
