A masterpiece of cake

- The Bottom Line:
- "Masterpiece"
Portal 1 was a great title out of the orange box toy collection.
For me it was the better more mind provoking titles of the pack that sadly lacked enough story and variation.
Thankfully portal 2 builds up on this and drops in a big slice of story line that keeps you pushing forward through the game.
Dialogue is hilarious and the ending is spectacular - really guys it's one of the best endings ever in any game.
The gameplay is just as solid with the only downside i felt it would be nice to have more combat with turrets. Also once completed you know there's little replay value in there unless your out looking for clues on the story. Still find a friend and you've got an extra layer of cake in the form of co-op.
Kudos valve you've done us proud. Now where's HL episode3?
You'll love..
- amazing story line
- great puzzles
- fantastic graphics.
You'll hate..
- that you've finished it.
- not enough fun with those happy turrets
- feeling that not all questions where answered.
Tip!
If you're totally stumped on a level, ask yourself - Why the %* did they put that there? the rest will come to you. allot of what is assembled is there for a reason.

Portal 2 isn't a case of "more is better." It's a case of "better is better."

In this video, I present a thesis on the ending to Portal 2 that is an alternate interpretation of the ending than the straightforward, face-value interpretation. Obviously, spoilers abound.Posted May 9, 2011
