In our first episode we take a look at three community test maps from the Perpetual Testing Initiative, featuring crazy aerial fun-times, vengeful turrets and Portal 2 at the beach?

Yup, the high-standard maps out there at the moment I all recognize from the hammer editing tools community.
To attest to how amazing the tools are, it took me a MONTH to make and perfect the test I made and published with the hammer editing tools. I ported it to the Steam Workshop using the editor, and it took ONE HOUR.
Though, hammer tools still have their benefits. I was unable to port my other map because it used some complex workarounds that the editor couldn't do.
I encourage everyone looking for a challenge to look for Johnathan's maps, especially "Quadro"... I really hope he puts them up on the workshop soon!
I found the 1st test a little strange. But the tests with lasers and Aerial Faith Plates were very clever!

Can we get the links to the maps in the workshop the way it is set up on Shaun's Skyrim mod videos?
4 Like I think angry tests in actualy made in valve's source SDK, there are no options for a lot of those things in the plain portal editor.
@Owner34 Yep, you are exactly right. A bit of a derp on my part, the 12 angry test maps were made using hammer while the others were made using the new perpetual testing initiative editor.

3 Like For the record 12 Angry tests was made mostly with Hammer and not with the in-game editor. The dilapidated pallette isn't available in the in-game one.
2 Like One other thing, please feature ones created in the in-game creator and ones that are not, I believe this one is not created using the in-game map designer. It was made using the dev tools.
1 Like Awesome, like the Skyrim weekly. Make it funny please. Include an absolutely crap one or comedic one each week or it won't be particularly engaging. The chickens made the Skyrim features great :D
