Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands User Review
- Difficulty:
- Very Easy
- Time Spent:
- 10 Hours or Less
- The Bottom Line:
- "Been there, done that"
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands was the first prince of persia game I have ever played, and it didn't do much to grasp my attention or make me interested. Don't misunderstand, I had fun playing the game, but they ubisoft could have done better.
Story: The game has a very linear story. The basic story is that your brothers kingdom is under attack, your brother becomes impatient and unleashes an ancient army that he "thinks" he can control to defeat the invading army. You could already guess where this is going. An uncontrollable army is unleashed and you pretty much have to stop the army from spreading to the rest of the kingdom. Pretty basic, and a little boring. There are some exciting moments but not to many. Also the ending does not provide any closure and is very much a let down.
Gameplay: You can easily beat the game within 10 or 11 hours on the highest difficulty. The combat is extremely easy and gets easier and easier as you upgrade. You can beat hundreds of enemies loosing barely any health taking away the thrill of battling an ancient army. Luckily though, you'll spend most of your time platforming, which is definitely the games strong point. The platform is exciting and very challenging as you progress.
Overall this is an easy, short game that for the most part will leave you a little disappointed. Easy and boring combat, but very fun platforming gives the game a 7.5.
