Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands User Review
Though not as good as the earlier ones,it does pack a light punch.

- The Bottom Line:
- "All it's cracked up to be"
Fans of this series always have high hopes from a new title, and this one isn't different. This game takes you back to "the sands of time" time line to show what exactly happened between the first game and "warrior within".
The story lacks lustre, sure. Its the same tale of a guy trying to save the kingdom from an ancient menace, who happens to take control of his brother's body. The ending was quite linear too, with nothing out of the ordinary happening,as has been the general tendency of the recent PoP games.
The graphics have improved a lot,and the prince looks lively, animated and fun to play.Voice acting adds to the overall excellent sound setting.
The platforming is what matters in his game. Many Tomb Raider fans would envy the prince, now that he can hang on to bricks jutting out from walls too.The traps are challenging, and sets up a very good pace of the game.New additions like Recall and Freeze fit very well into the play and you'll soon find many traps newly administered exclusively for these powers.
The combat sucks though. You dont even have all the combos from The Sands Of Time now, only a 4 hit combo,a power attack, and of course the extra powers in this game-whirlwind,stone armour, trail of flame and ice blast or something. Its they who save the day from becoming too boring during the many combat sequences.
This title has more glitches than the earlier ones, and occasionally you'll have to download a few patches to keep going.
Overall, the goods and bads still integrate to give a positive result to the final game so far.Play it if you are a fan of the series of general platfomer, otherwise you do have a few choices in the market now..

Copy of Assassin's Creed jumping, climbing challenges, simply the worst camera angle issues I've ever come across.
