I got to thinking and I wish they would ...
I got to thinking and I wish they would have had 2 endings.

I honestly found myself saying, during the 3 times I beat the game, why can't I join Zeus as his side is the most logical side.
Both Heller and him are not only above humans, they are above the evolved. They are stronger, faster, and more resilient. So why wouldn't the two gods join together and bring up the new species that is so much more than humans.
They could have even included powers exclusive to each ending like an evolved summoning move for the Infected ending and a "Bring in the pain" move that summons a massive fleet of army trucks and tanks to back you up.
Actually have alignments that allow the player to control the fate of Heller rather than be just the person controlling his fight.

I like the idea of giving the player control of the conscious of the character we play as. While Heller has his past I wanted to control his future. Also honestly Mercer's side makes the most sense for Heller to go with due to the fact that he already seems to feel he is above humans even if he doesn't admit it.
He kills entire platoons of soldiers and doesn't flinch. Once you do that you are no longer a human you are either a demon or too advanced to care.
If I was given a week to rewrite the story I could hold true to Heller's personality and still give this a 2 sided ending.

I always get the impression that Heller IS the virus, he just does not realize it. The term "evolved" is so misleading, all of them were completely consumed as far as I can tell. Ya but that makes him more evolved than a human. Who cares about being human. We are flimsy, inefficient, and weak. Why would one want to be human when you can upgrade to a virus which can't die by normal means.

Mercer's solution did not even make any sense too. All of the evolved still had free thought and only followed Mercer because they were scared of him. They all committed acts as bad as the worst humanity has to offer that Mercer says he is against in theory. He is not the virus just a mere host unlike mercer who was dead when his body was infected which explains the memory loss. I bet Heller will try to rid himself of the virus or will have help similar to how in the last resident evil movie wesker took the T virus from alice and as a consequence lost all her powers. Maybe someone does the same to heller and i sure as hell believe Heller thank em for it as he no longer has anything of mercer in him.

The only difference between Mercer and Heller is Mercer was consumed while dead and Heller was consumed while alive. Being consumed while he was alive does not make him human. Heller has consumed thousands of people and technically they are every bit as much him as Heller. It is just that the virus takes the first form that is consumed and make it its dominant personality. It was the same for Mercer even though the virus itself realized it was not really Mercer. Heller trying to rid himself of the virus would be the same thing as suicide because he is one hundred percent virus.
The virus consuming Heller and gaining the ability to be resistant to consummation is no different from the virus consuming the juggernaut and gaining the Hammerfist ability. - Jun 21, 2012 7:58 am GMTlike i said unlike mercer heller is heller not the virus and this pretty much confirmed since there is no self deception story or achievement as for removing the virus being suicide doubt it just have to come up with a way.

Question is who would devolve themselves down to the level of a human?
Really even if Heller says he doesn't think he is better than humans, he really is and if he had a chance to get rid of the virus he wouldn't want to lose the power he has.
No one is that stupid to get rid of such a gift and he should have been grateful to Mercer for allowing him to become such a powerful being.

People who want to be lowered below what they can be are the weak ones. Those who are strong are the ones who take every advantage presented to them and allows them to kill those who oppose them.
With the power Heller was gifted he could take control of the entire planet but his ambition is clouded by weak, foolish emotions like attachment to his daughter. If he could shed that he could bring a new world order and allow the evolution of humanity.
However he just throws that away and kills the man who gave him a gift of a new life that would allow him to make a perfect world. He could have easily given his daughter the same powers and then Mercer, Heller, and the foot soldiers the evolved could burn the world to the ground and rebuild it.

When a bullied teenager became a vampire and thought he had it made with his new power he later realized he didn't that there were others bigger and badder than he and still got bullied he then killed himself in short it was same crap but with a different color.
The same thing will happen with mercers world his hive mind won't last when one stronger than he arises and crumbles what he built Heller just made that process go faster.

Lets put this in another perspective. Let's assume that Cooler wasn't an *** and had taken care of Kakarot as his pod was escaping planet Vegeta. Frieza would never been stood up to and his power would have gone uncontested. You can't really call blowing up a planet bullying as much as it is an easy genocide.
Well as we saw with Heller he was able to consume the source of the virus. Had he simply waited longer and been Mercer's right hand for a while he would have been able to consume a ton of the evolved and gained there power much like Mercer did. Except imagine Heller with the power of several thousand evolved behind him and them absorbing Mercer.
He would be immortal and there would be nothing that could stand against him. Also why would Mercer do "good" for a species that is beneath him. That is like saying that we should do "good" for rodents and stop killing them in our homes. All good is, is an excuse that weak people hide behind to justify their acts.
You don't need to be "good" to be right. The person who is right is always the one with the most power. When you have the power to break the bindings of humanity, then you have the power to control the world and build it as you see fit.
