The Collosial Mayhem DLC is just a bunch of different weapons and skins. The new DLC Excessive Force is yet again a few new weapons with a couple of skins. Why not some more missions with achievements instead of this skin crap.

There is no criteria for DLC, it can be anything, no one is forcing you to buy it either. Wait a while maybe there will be mission DLC, i mean it hasn't even been a month since release.

I know what you mean. Excessive Force, however, seems like it'll have something interesting called Chaos Creator Mode. That may actually be good depending on what it is. Aside from that, I'll agree, the DLC has been crap so far. There should be an extension to the story and gameplay. The ending we had now wasn't so good. Or at least a prologue to the events of the game, from Alex's point of view showing how he created the evolved and how the Dead Zone was created.

Mission DLC would be garbage...Have you played the missions?? Have you seen the achievements? You'd burn through that 5 bucks in minutes. At least these force multipliers are enjoyable to use. I much rather prefer their current direction of DLC. Missions/achievements DLC for this game are a waste of time and money.

You are the only person who feels that way ... Yes TC I agree with you that the CM pack was basically worthless. I only liked playing around with one FM ... the Vortex one. Everything else lost it's charm for me after 5-10 minutes of playing around. What would be cool is if they bundled this type of stuff with a mission DLC.

^That's an ignorant statement. I guarantee you I am not the only one. My opinion still stands. It would be garbage. I want DLC that enhances my gameplay experience overall...not just for 10 minutes. Besides, the missions would be repetitive and unoriginal.

Based on what has been said on these forums I would have to say if any statement is ignorant it may be yours. Not one person who plays this has indicated on this forum that they would rather have the current type of DLC vs Missions and more story ... in fact it has been quite the opposite. Obviously I only meant on these forums ... if you thought otherwise well that would be ....

    Full agreed.

I'll take skins and force multipliers over **** ass Trophies/Achievements and missions any time.

Asking for Trophies/Achievements over new abilities/weapons is beyond moronic. You unlock some stupid piece of text that does NOTHING for the game whatsoever. Missions you go through once or twice and then what?

    NOTHING, that's what.

At least with skins and force multipliers, it enhances the fun to be had while free roaming.

What missions could possibly be good for DLC?.

Mission : HEY! Go kill this guy! Then escape the alert once you are done!

If any cutscenes regarding the story gets added no ones really going to care because it'll do little to the plot (random example, the surviving cast leaves NY)

Missions have always been not good, it was the combat which prototype is known for

Thought I'd also say that I agree with this. You are not the only one, there are a lot of us out there.

I wanted missions at first too until I thought about it for a second. I prefer DLC that adds as much fun to the game as possible and the majority of this game's fun doesn't come from the missions, story, or achievements, it comes from the gameplay. Powers, weapons, skins, etc add to the gameplay making the most enjoyable part of the game that much more enjoyable.

I hope the new skins add more than just a look. Voices, like the zombie-skin one would be nice but I'd also like to see some type of "force multipliers" or special abilities for different skins in the future.

I have no problems with the majority of the missions in this game ... they are fun and provide lots of enemies for you to use your amazing powers on. Seriously I don't get how people have any issues with 75% of the missions and yet want more skins and FMs so they can go through the game again with them? How much sense does that make?

And if you are saying that is not the case and you only want to use them in free roam that makes even less sense ... seeing as how there are hardly any worthwhile enemies in free roam to use ANY new FMs that are really good and destructive anyway. Only in the missions do you face Goliaths and Super Soldiers and Alpha Juggernauts ... plus lots of Alpha Brawlers ... how the hell are those missions NOT fun?

And who says they couldn't come up with some cool Mercer DLC missions that let you play as him complete with VOs and cutscenes in this new greatly improved environment? Are you folks seriously that lacking in confidence in this series that you don't think they could do something like that. Shoot ... I am 100% positive that the VAST majority of Prototype fans would rather have a DLC where you do a series of missions leading up to some boss type battle final missions.

This DLC could last about 2-3 hours in total playing as Alex than some half baked cosmetic skins and more mediocre force multipliers. Hell the devs could even put in a couple of mutations that only Alex can get. When you think about it there is a lot they could with this new gameplay and features.

Were you that sure when you said, "You are the only person who feels that way ..." to ArabAl when he said he wanted more powers/force multipliers instead of missions? I think you just don't enjoy free roam as much as the rest of us do, which is fine. It's your game, have fun with it however you want.

The new DLC has something called "chaos creator mode" which sounds like a "keys to the city" thing that Crackdown did. HOPEFULLY this new "mode" will let us spawn what enemies/items we want along with other options that will help us create complete chaos. This would be much better than new missions because you could have many more combinations of enemy types than a mission or two would provide.

I don't think anyone said they couldn't create some cool Mercer DLC missions. I think it's a bit of a stretch though to think this will happen, although I'd love it. While those missions MIGHT last 2-3 hours (which seems a bit unrealistic to me considering how short the game already is) the chaos creator mode would easily give us many more hours of pure chaotic enjoyment. That's assuming chaos creator mode is as great as it sound though.

Didn't one of the devs say in an interview that Chaos Creator was just a Force Multiplyer. Pretty sure about this. There was another topic on here where they were talking about it, but I'm too lazy to look it up. Keys to the city type DLC is the only thing that could increase replayability for me at this point. I don't want skins and weapons or mission DLC, I want something weird and fun. Like a mode where you get to see how long you can last in the city as a brawler being chased by evolved or something.

If CCM was what you said you would be 100% correct and I would have no problem with this at all. But that is not what the devs said or at least a rep from Radical ... just what the above poster points out. It is like the toolkit that came with Infamous 2 ... it gave the game a lot of legs ... played many a good UGC mission in that game. If they did something like that with Prototype that would have been awesome.

So your saying you would rather just mow down civilians the whole time? I enjoyed the missions despite them having pretty much no objectives. I agree with the other user about bundling these powers up with some missions. Not JUST the power-ups.
