More PS3 exclusives head to 360

Koei makes Fatal Inertia and Bladestorm multiplatform, announcing both will come to Microsoft's next-gen console.

It would appear that the PlayStation 3 may not have as many exclusive titles as previously thought. First came the announcement in September when Ubisoft said that the much-publicised Assassin's Creed--which had previously been billed as a PS3 title--would be coming to the Xbox 360 and PC as well.

Producer Jade Raymond told GameSpot in an interview that the reason for this was that Ubisoft had at first been unsure how many consoles it could support but that it had "always wanted to share our next-gen vision with everybody."

Then came an article earlier this week, by Newsweek correspondent N'Gai Croal, in which he stated that both Assassin's Creed and Grand Theft Auto IV were originally intended to be exclusive for Sony's next-gen console, but Kaz Hirai's "slowness" in finalising the deals meant that the developers decided to port to Microsoft as well.

Today, two more games which were previously presumed to be PS3 exclusives have been announced for the Xbox 360 as well: Koei's aerial combat racing game Fatal Inertia and its miltiary actioner Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War.

Fatal Inertia is the debut title for the Toronto-based studio Koei Canada, which is led by Takazumi Tomoike, creator of the Dynasty Wars series, and Koei cofounder and chief advisor Yoichi Erikawa. The game features "an evolutionary sport mixing high-performance street racing, rally, and demolition derby."

Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War is set in the first half of the 14th century in Medieval Europe, and players will assume the role of a mercenary leader commanding troops in real time.

A Koei spokesperson confirmed to GameSpot that Fatal Inertia and Bladestorm would be launch titles for the PS3's 2007 debut in Europe, but wouldn't comment further on the Xbox 360 versions of the game.

    I would like more PS3 exclusives. I find myself buying 360 games because I can hook up with my friends online. But I need something to rub in their faces, so they will quit being cheap and spend a little money on the 3.

    EXCLUSIVE GAMES , are the blood sucking leaches to modern society. there should be a rule, if a system can play the game without making the game look bad (i.e gears of war on Wii . = making it look bad)

    Everyone needs to stop being childish, and just be happy that more games are going cross platform

    I played the Fatal Inertia demo, it was rubbish but the point i have is that it's ironic that it was a PS3 exclusive but it is coming out on the 360 first now.

    INTERNET MOVIES keep on telling your self that. i did alot of investigating before i spent my money and i realised by looking at game publishers opinions, the stock market, the line up of games over the next year, the no of exclusives lost resi5,gta, virtua tennis, unreal tournament, blade storm,fatal inertia and assasins creed. The milkman has been and delivered and when the milk is sour im not the kind of **** to drink it.
    I reccomend that you enjoy god of war2 on your ps2 as i think you will find that that may be the last great exclusive of sonys time at the top unlesss they make a miracle happen and all their exclusives are not lost to ms eventually. Anywayz enjoy your ps3 if you believe that you got a good deal thats all that matters. ps check your facts blueray is not being supported by the porn industry due to sonys safety locks so they are supporting hd-dvd. plus this is nothing like vhs vs beta max the internet changed the porn industry forever so if you thought that all the stress of spending $600 on a console with no good exclusives would be relieved by mrs palm and her five lovely daughters im afraid your very mistaken my dear fellow.

    Okay...now this makes me mad...Now i think you should also make PS3 and 360s games...For the Wii...yeah i mean the Exclusives for PS3 and 360..and stuff ...or have about just share games....Ahhgh all the Exclusives are being traded and shared back and forth in this Gaming Gen...and its sucks!

    Why do people buy consoles just cause there made in there country?It's a quite absurd form of nationalism.I couldn't care less about what country which console is made in.Don't have blind faith in a company after all at the end of the day we are just another number they want on there sales chart

    It's good to finally see some constructive analysis on these boards. Everybody loves the underdog and Bill Gates is definetely NOT the underdog. However, MS is learning from their mistakes and you have to admire that.

    Comeon guys and gals, support one of the largest American companies out there. They have good products like this Samarai Warriors wannabe game.

    It looks cool and I'm going to waste my 60 bucks on it.

    wow there's a law in the U.S. that forbids monopolies it's funny ya'll think OMG MICROSOFT can just go buy the major 3rd party companies that have backed sony for many years like Konami, Capcom...etc but the truth is if you go look at those companies games a lot of them NEVER make the US markets cause they are strictly guided towards the asian market (PS3/Sony market) so for microsoft to buy a major asian/japanese company is stupid move on their part as well because hands down it don't matter if Microsoft bought out squaresoft even JAPAN WILL NEVER BUY AMERICAN products they HATE too they WON'T they will form a new company before having to support especially microsoft.

    this is another reason PS3 will not fail it far outweighs microsoft in the asian market which is the largets video gaming market in the world...so if they have that market they will always be in the hunt and as you can see by holiday sales the 360 was HORRID sale wise over there again because they don't like to buy american stuff it's as simple as that honestly. now if Sony was really smart haha they would start porting some of the great japanese titles to America cause go look at the PS2 there's so many great games you can import for it that are fun as hell that the American shelves never saw....it's all good though I know you all know deep down the PS3 will start striving in the future...but again i'm sure the fanboys will find something to bicker about... "Well XBOX LIVE STILL KICKS SONY ONLINES AS*!!!" lol there will always be something and come on ya'll know if you had the money we would all own all 3 systems...but what's sad is consoles aren't cheap no more and even $400 for the 360 isn't cheap $400-600 is like the same ammount to me it's just a matter of choice and the future and i honestly believe Sony has a strong future with this console gaming wise and video wise cause the Blu-Ray is already showing signs of becoming the next format, and winning the war...i mean come on the PORN industry is backing blu ray first and we all know the porn industry dictated the format in all the previous wars lol ...VHS vs. BETA ...DVD vs LD and now Blu-Ray vs HD-Dvd

    daniel665 you are the biggest moron on these boards i've seen you post that link to a retarded article that is so biased it's hillarious to read quite honestly...he doesn't pinpoint the problems or explain anything to why the PS3 can have a strong future and will...lol the PS3 is not going to even come close to failing...it will eventually surpass the 360 in sales will probably take 2-3 years but it will happen ....in those 2-3 years expect to see the normal games coming to microsoft like sequels to God of War, Devil may Cry, Gran Turismo...sony's sport game division is starting to step it up and expect those to bring in great sales especially their baseball series...Maximo games i heard a rumor is coming...a lot of things will happen in 2-3 years and I guarantee it won't be much negative but a lot of gaming on both sides.

    I've said it before and i'll say it again, both systems are equally matched, with the exception of each having a little tech difference from one another. I can tell you right now the only difference you are going to see between Ps3 and 360 is sharper texture that the ps3 have. And you can even see it now in all its games. They are much, brighter than the 360. They way you all are acting is as if the ps3 graphics is going to be like ps1 to xbox. It won't be anything like that. And even though i say this you all still won't believe, but just wait and you'll see. I can make bets on this one.

    By the way I have to give Microsoft some applause for ACTUALLY learning from their mistakes and trying things differently. They watched the xbox lose to the Ps2 and now that is in the past. However the only downside is all the ignorant fanboys who liked the ps2 better than the original xbox don't do research or won't accept the fact that the Ps3 is losing to the 360 will buy the ps3 just because of the name! Spread the word, everyone tell your sony fanboy friends what system is the best!
