agreed below it doesn't do it for me am more hardcore although it looks good (graphics originality) its not a game that will make people go crazy the equivalents would be Gears 2 for 360 or Killzone 2 (sweet graphics) for ps3

seems cool but i just dont get the appeal, it wont make me go crazy, and like theres games coming out this fall that make me feel like a junkie waiting for my fix. This game just doesnt do it for me

this game looks stupid as hell. why is everyone so excited about making a level in a long dead genre. ohh wow a side scrolling platformer! how awesome. go play mario or sonic please dont support crap like this. go play a real game like mgs4 or resistance 2 if your stuck with a ps3. i however chose a 360 and i don't have to be excited over an over hyped piece of garbage like this. i get real games like gow, left 4 dead, and fable 2. if you want to play out dated garbage games go buy a wii theres plenty of crap like this no need to make your $600 console suffer this crap

I've been thinking about getting myself a PS3 and this game. I think it could be fun to mess around creating something but I don't expect I would come up with anything amazing personally. However I am very interested to see what other people come up with. In just Halo 3 I've downloaded and played some extremely creative maps, and I think we can agree that Forge is quite limiting when it comes down to it. So what people will be able to accomplish with LBP will surprise us.

It seems funny when you build a level but after playing it once or twice, it becomes boring, I'd rather spend my time doing Guitar Hero world tour songs. but i dunno, i want to wait for some reviews to know if its worth it.

Been following LBP for so long, psyched it's only a month! Now just going to need a larger hard drive on my PS3.
The glue thing is new, so I think this is more recent.

Amir, after playing the LBP demo at PAX, losing in this game is similiar to losing in any side-scroller (think, Donkey Kong, Pitfall, SuperMario Brothers, etc.). Created objects can have lethal properties applied (acid gas, fire, electricity were shown in the demo). If SackBoy/SackGirl hit any lethal object enough, they turn into smoke and re-appear at a spawn point. X number of deaths before reaching the next spawn point means : GAME OVER.

Old trailer but still impressive. Only one thing that I don't understand. How exactly do you lose? I really haven't seen any challenge for people actually playing yet. Is there a video or explanation somewhere that I'm missing?

i hope that 1. you can record the making and playing of your levels in the game
and that 2. There are plenty of level backdrops or even better make your own.

I don't get it, I just don't understand the allure of this game. Watch its going to sell well due to the hype around it and then its going to tank because it won't be fun to play.
