Rage Interview: Jason Kim

I'm so tired of hearing about how this is Borderlands. Boerderlands has cell shaded graphics and is more an rpg. Rage is from Id software they invented the 1st person shooter, Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, Quake peerhaps you heard of them? Every shooter ever made ripped them off please get your facts straight before posting jibrish and this games engine was demoed at Quakecon 2007 long before Borderlands was ever realeased or talked about Youtube it if you dont believe me. Also this game will come with mod tools packed in so you wont have to pay for crappy DLC like Borderlands because the community will be supporting mods, and the graphics if your computer isnt garbage are gorgeous and the best yet seen on any system. If you havnt seen a demo in HD stop commenting on how the graphics suck they dont suck they dwarf everything out right now on PC in many ways.

btw, STRELOK name is from S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game, cuz j was CRAZY FANATIC of it when it was released...

@valent1n I have to agree. The graphics aren't mindblowing, but I still think this game is going to be a good one. One thing I can't understand though is why this game looks so much like Borderlands. Right at the beggining of the video when it said "Bethesda softworks presents" and you see the car driving up a ramp over the highway, I immiediatly thought: Borderlands.

the graphics are ok, stop comparing this game with the rest of id software titles. maybe they are preparing some mmo game and this one is just to try out the engines capabilities.....anyhow an mmo title should be made by this company since everyone wants to be online playing a good game

I am not too excited with the graphics. Doom 3 and Quake 4 years ahead of the games of their genre. Considering the time that has elapsed since the announcement of this title, the introduction of ID Tech 5 and the release of this game, I think I was expecting something which would blow Crytek away. Unfortunately I don't see that happening. There is nothing in these visuals which we don't find in good present generation games like GOW, Dead Space etc.

what is it with this guy assuming that only kids play wideo games... it gonna be rated 18 anyway as far as i know.. when doing the pray 2 interview the same thing in the end, remind the kids when this game is gonna come out...

borderlands IS a nice game... only finished it with all characters with full weaponz and j didnt get bored douing it...!!! BTW, j can do it again... lol xD

I dont like the Interview guy, He looks creepy, also he said kids want to know when the games comin out. I am older than him and I frekin want this game. Yeahhhhhhhhhhh!

Rage looks wicked! The areas look so rich and layered and the weight of the animations look wicked. Can't wait for this game. Hope its out here in New Zealand at he same time as the US. Have to wait and see

Co-op? Might be a buy for me on day 1.

Textures looks way better in this than Gears 3. Getting this day one.

@dungeonleader I think it's a good thing, there's enough competitive shooter games out there which has proved how cheap and lame people really are..(noob tubes, campers, people that use the cheapest possible weapon, etc) I just want a game I can actually have fun in, with or without my friends and kick some ass without worrying about some douche-missile camping.

The graphics are amazing. I especially like the detail they put in the background were you can see smoke coming out of one of the buildings.

We want more "couch" coops!

The locations look interesting, cool arsenal too.

Thats it for multiplayer? No frags, no competetive? Weird for ID software

wow fantastic graphics. As well as art design, because a lot of games now push the consoles to the limit but don't do anything with that power. And as a side note, I just cannot stop staring at the beautiful sky!! The simple things in life lol

I'm sure the multiplayer will b good n all, but I am moar interested in the Story

Haha when i saw the buggy in the beginning of this vid, instantly thought about borderlands. Can't shake that image anymore now:P Hope this game will turn out to be different then all those other post apocalyptic games 'cause that genre getting me bored already.

Man with this and Skyrim my winter is going to be nothing but games hell yeah baby. When he said co-op I almost fell out of my chair I love co-op multiplayer and this is gonna be another great co-op game.

The environments look incredible. The only thing that bums me is what appears to be regenerating health.

Is it me or did they diminished the graphical quality of this game....they probably have since it is a multiplatform game instead of a PC exclusive game. Many might disagree with me but Crysis is, to my shock, is still graphical superior over Crysis 2 and is the best game of this generation despite being a 3 year old game.

Great Interview Maxwell, Kudos to you. This game looks Stunning, Definitely one of the games I'm looking forward to this year.
