- Nov 13, 2012 4:34 pm GMTSo after farming for some time I have managed to receive 5 Crescent Scythes, and was wondering was is its special skill? Splash Attack? Also, wondering what you guys think of these:
Crescent Scythe #1
ATK: 104
Attack Up Lv3
Sword Aptitude
#2:
ATK: 102
Splash Attack
Elemental Sword Lv.2 (Adds shock to bowling bash. What's bowling bash?)
#3
101
Crit Atk Up Lv.3
Sword Aptitude
#4
108
Same abilities as #3
#5
107
Critical Strike (Increase chance of stun when attacking weak point.)
Sword Aptitude
Find it very odd that so many of these have Sword Aptitude lol... Also, can someone explain to me what Splash Attack does? And what does Fafnirs r7 (Pillaging Dragon's Fortune) do?

PSN: ZanSangyou - Nov 13, 2012 4:59 pm GMTIn many MMOs, splash attack means area of effect attack.
Let's use an example. Suppose you have Poring 1 in front of you. We have Poring 2 and 3 next to Poring 1. You have splash attack. You bash Poring 1. Poring 1 takes damage, obviously. But splash attack makes your attacks an area of effect attack, so Poring 2 and 3 will also take damage.
Usually, though, the damage Poring 2 and 3 will take is less, for balancing sake. Like 50% less or something. ...Not that classes are balanced to begin with. Just a guess, though. Try it out when you get the chance.
Pillaging Dragon's Fortune? I looked it up in the JP wiki, and apparently it allows you to deal status ailments when you attack. 20 costs, by the way. - Nov 13, 2012 5:15 pm GMTsilverwing890 posted...

Figures, suits a Scythe. Sounds like its only really useful quests with multiple enemies, or bosses that tend to have enemies with them. One question though, will splash attack spread to other parts of bosses? This would be a bit OP if that's the case, especially combined with Hjar Edge. Also is there any specific Crescent Scythe that people seem to want right now? Like the x2 crit attack Lv5 Traitor?
I asked about the card because I managed to get 2 of those, seems pretty useless D:.

That would indeed be OP if splash attack procs against all parts of a boss. I highly doubt it, though.
A specific Crescent Scythe? Can't say I've heard of one that people want. Then again, everyone, their parents, their grandparents, and even their ancestors are assassins, so they care more about that 2x Crit Atk Up Lv5 Traitor than anything. More or less. - Nov 13, 2012 5:42 pm GMTI'm just wondering what is considered a good Crescent Scythe so that I can know to keep an eye out for it. Also Is Splash Attack the only skill exclusive to it?

To delineate, Harvester is +30% critical rate, not sure about its cost though, so I dunno if it's any more effective than a Traitor with 2 Crit Attack Up Lv.5s.

- Nov 13, 2012 6:47 pm GMTI test crit rate by using Bear Surge + x. If it's 100% then x must be at least +25%, so then I'll switch to 3 Lagu Sharp Edge Cards + x. With this, there should be minimum 85% crit rate; I just stack Wolf's Bane: Fanged (5% crit rate) thereon. It only took 2 Fanged's to get to 100% so I'm pretty sure it's 30%, if it's not, anyone feel free to correct me.
And Sky Conqueror is 20%, and It seems that Hercules is +5% for each skill level.
Also as a side note, from what I've gathered, there are different % caps. There isn't a flat cap of 30% bonus, each damage category has separate % increases. Aerial % boosts, Ground % boosts, and Overall % boosts are all considered different, so at any given time you can stack up to +60% damage increase.
Sorry if old. .-.

PSN: ZanSangyou - Nov 13, 2012 7:04 pm GMTSounds complicated, and thanks ill look out for that. Maybe I'll get a Scythe that has both lol.

Edit: Brandish is I believe 45% critcial chance and Serial attack is 20% chance of inflicting 50% extra damage.

The Polearm as well, or is that not considered an epic weapon? Anyway, what do those skills do?
