RailWorks 2: Train Simulator User Review
Good train game marred by little 'free content' and ridiculously overpriced payware.

- "Rip-off"
It seems these days that that most of the train games are dominated by the railworks series and very recently a free upgrade to railworks 3 (train simulator 2012) via Steam - this is all good an all but what they don't tell you is that in the free upgrade, you get better graphics and that's it.
The actual content that comes with the game is actually rather limited, in fact it is actually painfully small amount of routes/trains/stock - if you want to expand on this, be prepared to spend x100+ the amount you spent on actually buying the game. Some routes can cost as much as $25, and other content is pretty expensive too and forget about the free stuff, because frankly there really isn't any - not unless you want to pay for monthly subscription fees on various sites.
The game itself is pretty solid sim, good designs of the locomotives and stock, good scenery and overall a solid design, it is just a shame that the DLC is overpriced in the extreme.
