Ratchet and Clank were one of the the biggest and most successful PS2 franchises made by famed developer Insomniac Studios, the creator of the Spyro the Dragon Franchise and Resistance Franchise. The famed Lombax and Robot duo were finally making the jump to the PS3 with the new Future Series being the first of 2 in the series. Overall the game brings great story, guns and graphics in a total package that is fun the whole way through.

Ratchet and Clank's story is based around learning the origins about each character, who they are or who made em. During the adventure you meet up with familiar characters in the series and meet the main boss in the game Emperor Tachyon a bug who claims to have exterminated Ratchet's species. The story is told in beautiful cut scenes and really puts you on a cool adventure from start to finish with a cliffhanger ending leading up to a Crack in Time (which i need to purchase still!!)

The weapons in the game are cool and varied as ever. With favorites like Buzz Blades, and Slime Monsters, to Mr. Zurkon, Groove a Tron, Electo whip and many more. The best part about it is that you upgrade each weapon and level up the abilities until level 5 which gives you an added bonus to the gun.You also can use purple crystals to power up via chart system to give more ammo, damage, etc.. The game has every gun you will need and you unlock more as you play. Gadgets and guns have always been Ratchet and Clank staples and this game does not fail you at all..

Whats best about this game is that its an actual 3D platformer with colorful graphics, great characters, and a unique story to tell.. Many games are not able to have fully 3D Environments and Planets to explore. You feel like a futuristic Hero and you can really get attached to the characters and the series. Grinding and Swinging are 2 cool aspects of the game, as well as light puzzle solving and 6 axis mini games..

Overall Graphically it looks great, i know they say Pixar quality on the box, but its pretty damn close to it, they really bring out the best in Ratchet and Clanks world on the PS3, making it look so much cleaner and HD! Bolt collecting is as fun as ever and the art style is amazing and i wish more games were like that.. Finally the game is a great adventure that people should check out
