- "Masterpiece"
This was the first ever game I actually was really excited about. I saw the trailers and read some stuff about it and boy did it sound good. Now, most of the games I see have awesome trailers which deceive you from the actual game. It makes it look about 10 times as good as the actual game itself. This game on the other hand was true to its trailer and was amazing.
During the time that Red Dead Redemption was announced to come out I had a huge likening towards old Westerns like Clint Eastwoods "Fistful of Dollars". So you could imagine how excited I was about this game.
Now to all the rock star fans out there, this game does not disappoint and carries on Rock stars legendary reputation. When I first started this game I was so amazed. The scenery and landscape was exactly the same old cowboy and outlaw filled desert like you see in the movies. The detail was to perfection and the characters were very life like. Everything to the old Western bars to the defenceless armadillos gave the game a true western film.
You start off as John Marston, an outlaw with a family of a boy and Wife. You have been arrested by these 2 sheriffs for reasons which I forget and have been told to track down Bill Williamson, former partner in crime. Although this seems like a straight forward task and also seems to have a story line that will only last the amount of time it takes to say "Red Dead Redemption", you are very wrong. This task will only send you on a reasonably lengthened journey full of surprises, horsehides, awesome views and great new acquaintances and friends.
If the story line wasn't enough you can easily be finding yourself hunting the vast range of animals, playing multiplayer or free roam online, and maybe even completing some of the side quests.
This game is very worthwhile and something you will regret if you don't go out and buy it.
