    Reason behind this topic.
    Too many topics asking about infinite ammo and yet they can easily skim the forums and find their answers they need. Lazy if you ask me, but oh well. Also revised it and added other Frequently Asked Questions.

    What is infinite ammo?
    It's when you never run out of ammo.

    How do you unlock it?
    The first two steps involve fully upgrading the guns you want to have infinite ammo, and then completing the game on any difficulty to unlock the option. Next, you need to go into the Special Settings and turn Infinite Ammo ON. After this, you need to go into the Bonus Features menu and scroll down till you see the name of your weapon accompanied by the Infinite Loop Symbol. From here, you will buy it using the Exchange Points you've accumulated from clearing chapters and playing through Mercenaries. Remember, the weapons you want Infinite ammo for MUST be fully upgraded.

    My infinite ammo isn't working, what did I do wrong?
    Re-read the paragraph above this one.

    I can't use my infinite ammo weapons in a co-op game?
    The host must have Infinite Ammo unlocked and turned ON when they created the game. That's the only way.

    How do you get Infinite Ammo to work in Mercenaries?
    You don't, this would be unfair and just boring. Mercenaries is a pick-up-and-play mini game designed to challenge and test your skills.

    How many points does it cost to buy the infinite ammo feature for this Gun?
    It varies from gun to gun. Expect to spend a lot of time playing the Story or Mercenaries mode to unlock infinite ammo for your favorite guns.

    Handguns
    M92F =6,000
    H&K P8 = 10,000
    SIG P226 = 10,000
    M93R = 20,000

    Shotguns
    Ithaca M37 = 8,000
    M3 = 12000
    Jail Breaker = 12,000
    Hydra = 20,000

    Machines Guns
    VZ61 = 6,000
    AK-74 = 15,000
    H&K MP5 = 10,000
    SIG 556 = 15,000

    Sniper Rifles
    S75 = 15,000
    Dragunov SVD = 15,000
    H&K PSG-1 = 15,000

    Magnums
    S&W M29 15,000
    Lightning Hawk = 15,000
    S&W M500 = 20,000

    I ran out of Exchange Points for the Bonus Features content, what do I do?
    Play more Story Mode or Mercenaries mode.

    I can't get infinite ammo for my rocket launcher?
    Getting infinite ammo for the Rocket Launcher (RPG) is unlocked by another means. Once you unlock it, you can either get the free one from Marshlands, or just buy it for $10,000. The AI tends to be efficient with it and tries to avoid firing at point blank targets. Just stay away from the enemies if Attack Reaction is on. AI almost killed me with the RPG, needless to say.

    I can't get infinite ammo for my grenade launcher?
    No, you can already buy rounds for this weapon, plus, with the various types of projectiles it uses, this may just be a hassle when you wish to change grenade type. Could be because of lazy developers, who really knows. Just buy the ammo.

    How do I unlock infinite ammo for the long bow/gatling gun?
    These special weapons do not need to be upgraded and always have infinite ammo, regardless as to wether the Infinite Ammo option is on and off. The only thing keeping you from using one or the other in any game are the Character-specifics they have. Long Bow = Sheva. Gatling Gun = Chris.

    Does my infinite ammo carry over to different difficulties/game types?
    Yes, for the most part. Infinite Ammo can be used in any difficulty and in co-op, provided the host has Infinite Ammo turned on. As stated earlier, it cannot be used in Mercenaries.

    Does Infinite Ammo affect achievements/turn achievements off?
    No, feel free to use this feature to gain achievements.

    I started on Chapter 1-1 after doing everything stated to unlock infinite ammo yet I have no guns and no infinite ammo. What gives?
    Provided you followed it word for word, your guns that you've unlocked the feature for will have infinite ammo once you reach the attache case in the butcher shop, and the game will give you all of your chosen gear that you've selected in the Organize/Buy/Ready menu.

    Do you need to carry anything else besides the gun in your inventory for infinite ammo? Just wondering if you need at least like 1 ammo outside of the gun for it to work.
    Nope, just the gun.

    How does infinite ammo work for split-screen coop play?
    Provided the host has the feature unlocked, the host can use infinite ammo, but if the second player does not have it they can't use infinite ammo like the host can. I'm certain he/she can still play in this game, but must have it unlocked if the second player wishes to use infinite ammo.

    Would that mean the only way for the 2nd player to have infinite ammo as well is to play through the game start to finish with that gamertag "hosting" or solo and unlock infinite ammo for that profile as well?
    Pretty much, yes.

    On the Game Creation screen, Infinite Ammo is turned on, yet I have no infinite ammo. What's wrong?
    Several things could be wrong here. First of all, that option only decides wether or not The feature can be used in this Hosted Game. It does not actually turn it on for the players. That is done at the playings discretion in the Special Settings. Also, again, make sure this is turned on in Special Settings if you wish to use infinite ammo, and be sure to have bought infinite ammo in the Bonus Features menu for the gun you wish to use.

    Slightly off-topic, but what is Attack Reaction?
    This setting determines wether or not you can hit your partner. (Don't go beating Sheva now..) With it off, all bullets, melee attacks, and projectiles fly through your partner and the laser won't acknowledge your partner as a target. With the setting on, you can target your partner with the laser, shoot them, and even punch them when stunned enemies are nearby, or even fire explosives at them. Warning, although bullets do nothing and melee attacks seem to do nothing, explosive splash damage DOES hurt your teammate with this option on. If you're going to play a co-op game with random people, I recommend hosting your own game and keeping this option off. With this option on, Kirk may accidentally hurt, or even kill you during the section of the game he provides air support in, though I'm unsure if this option truly affects him. May be difficulty specific.

    What are the "Ultimate Guns" I keep hearing about and how do you get them?
    First off, they're not so ultimate. Every gun in this game has their ups & downs and it's really just presonal preference, though the Infinite RPG is arguably the best...heh.

    How to unlock them...

    M93R, this handgun is a 3-round burst-fire handgun with a stock. It's arguably the best handgun in the game provided you have infinite ammo for it. It has practically no recoil is and highly accurate. This is up for debate though considering this weapon lacks Piercing, it seems. You can unlock this weapon in the Shop for $30,000 by fully upgrading the Beretta M92F.

    Hydra, this shotgun is a triple-barrel sawn-off shotgun with a laser sight rigged to it. (lol tape) It fires all 3 barrels with the single pull of the trigger. It can be unlock in the Shop for $30,000 by fulling upgrading the Ithaca M37.

    S&W M500, this is a handcannon. That's all that really needs to be said. It can be unlocked in the Shop for $30,000 by fully upgrading the S&W M29.

    Gatling Gun, this is Chris Redfield's special weapon and can only be used by him. It comes fully upgraded, though it has no visible stats, and automatically gets infinite ammo. You can use this, and the long bow regardless as to wether the host has infinite ammo on or off. The aiming on this gun jumps around a lot when firing it. I find it best to aim at the legs of the enemy and let the aim walk up on it's own. I recommend turning Vibration OFF if you use a wireless controller, because this gun uses the Vibration 24/7 while firing this.

    Long Bow, this is Sheva Alomar's special weapon and can only be used by her. It comes fully upgraded, but again: no visible stats, and automatically gets infinite ammo. Can be used wether infinite ammo in the Host Game is on or off. Has no laser, and can be tricky for beginners to aim. Will one shot most of the basic enemies.

    Infinite Rocket Launcher, the best way to unlock this sweet, sweet weapon is to get one of your Final Times in the Chapter Select screen under 5 hours. This is extremely easy. just pick a chapter that needs improvement, and speed run it. Keep improving your times on Chapters until you get your Final Time under 5 hours and you will get a message saying Infinite Ammo for this weapon is now available. The speed runs can be done on any one difficulty. As long as infinite ammo is ON in your Special Settings, this weapon will have infinite rockets as long as you unlocked it! Host must have Infinite Ammo on in order to use this as second player.

    QUESTION!

    Hey, about the the Infinite Ammo, i have to fully upgrade a weapon and beat the game right? Will it work if i just play the last chapter using Chapter Select then fully upgrade a weapon then beat the last chapter? Or do i have to completely play the whole chapters again from start to end?
