Resident Evil 5 is another solid entry in one of Capcom's flagship franchises.

- Difficulty:
- Hard
- Time Spent:
- 10 to 20 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Almost, but not quite"
Highs: Decent controls, great weapons, fantastic music, great story, worth picking up for a few bucks.
Lows: AI partner is a little stupid, only 9 slots to put items in, insanely difficult(even on easiest difficulty), more action feel than survival horror feel.
Verdict: May not be RE4 or RE2, but it's a decent entry in the series.
The Resident Evil series is one of the greatest game series of all time, and has so many great games in this series. The first four games in the series, along with the remake of the original, RE0 and Code: Veronica have all been recieved greatly by critics, and Resident Evil 5, released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in 2009, is also another critically acclaimed game in the series and it is another game in the long-running series that will not disappoint. You play as Chris Redfield, the star from the first game, who is sent on a mission to Africa to stop an outbreak of the Uroboros plague, as it is turning the people into monsters, and he must stop his arch-nemesis and main villain of the RE series, Albert Wesker who wants to spread Uroboros around the entire planet and turn everyone into mindless and deadly creatures. So Chris and his new partner, Sheva Alomar, must stop the Uroboros outbreak and Wesker, and as always, save the world. RE5 controls similar to its GameCube predecessor, Resident Evil 4 in terms of gameplay, and whenever you finish a chapter, you can sell treasure to get more money and upgrade your weapons or just buy new ones to add to your collection. You and your partner have 9 slots to put items in so choose wisely as it is starting to feel like an older entry in the series, and you must conserve your ammo too. The game is pretty difficult too, as you and your partner have a small health bar, the chainsaw enemies will kill you in one hit and are a big pain to kill, and the control feels a little klunky too. The frustration is back at full force in RE5. Also, your AI partner is a little stupid too, as she just wastes ammo throughout the game and can get herself killed easily too if you aren't careful. Yeah, this game will kick your butt non-stop. The hardest RE game behind Code: Veronica without a doubt. Resident Evil 5 is a decent game, but not a worthy successor to RE4.

Resident Evil 5 is a disappointment compared to RE4, but it's still a worthy playthrough for any fan of the series
