they gave sherry super powers ... i don't think it'll be that much of a problem for them to make something up where the virus granted him some lfie extension ...
heck they could even present him in a minority incident before the edonia events ...
its up to them to make it up and we have no choice but to chew whatever they're cooking for us ...

Ippongi_Ryuta posted...In the RE universe, if you don't actually see a character die for good, there's always a slight chance they're still alive.
That's video games and anime in general.

people who follow others on Twitter are A-Okay.

That would be tantamount to taking a big smelly **** on Chris' beautiful ending, which was the best ending in the game IMHO.
It's Capcom. Now that you've said that, they'e gonna resurrect Piers to ruin the ending.
They would have to bring Wesker back first, so we are safe until at least that happens.

Mister X and Ustanak were high level, specifically altered creatures, Piers was not.

Sadly it's probably pointless to get your hopes up for him... He was my favorite character though

I think it was a cop out to kill him, it would've had a lot more impact if it was Chris. And plus it'd feel like Chris was atoning "letting his men die." *sigh* And they even planted the seed of Piers replacing Chris. Whyyyy

well the rule of seeing someone die for good is true ...
but in resident evil's case ... you'll have to see them being ripped into tiny shreds to ensure they're completely dead ...

Wesker's death was horribly done. The rockets fly past him instead of hitting him and making him explode. That would have been epic.
Instead you see two flying breadsticks hit a bowl of tomato soup that splashes up.

Actually IIRC they go through his face o.o

DetBeauregard posted...Capcom tends to kill off characters in ridiculously epic ways to ensure that the fans know that they're dead for good. They did it with Wesker.
Wesker's 2nd death was far from epic.

They did the same thing with Steve from Code Veronica X. He will either never be mentioned again or will be hinted at. This is what Capcom is known for, sadly enough.

He was taking a lava bath when he got shot with two rockets. It's pretty clear that Capcom was trying to say "he's dead for good."

I think he is really dead
But he might come back for Mercenaries though

He injected himself with the most ridiculous virus that has ever existed in the RE canon. That same virus allowed Carla to expand to the size of an entire aircraft carrier, and made Simmons able to survive damn near anything.
He'll be back next game as a plot point to make Chris shed some more roid rage and man tears.

from what we witnessed, piers body would almost certainly have endured even that deep sea level station's destruction. Not only that, he likely would have morphed into some fish afterwards. piers is a fish now. a muthafukn gay fish. all jokes aside, i enjoyed piers introduction to the series second only to jake. its a shame. helena and new sherry can go sit down.

I dun mind him back but it will be total crap if he come back as a brainwashed villain or Wesker No.2 and also plan to destroy the whole world.

Wasn't it stated that the new virus takes over some of the person's characteristics? That would mean that transformed Piers will stay a good guy, no?
After seeing what they did with the Jake character, i wouldn't be surprised if they started to change the franchise in some kind of 'new generation' sort of super power people, flying thru the air in slow motion, limbs that transform into weapons, the resident evil justice league something like that...
It would befit these 'modern' times in gaming.
I hope i am wrong, i really do...
