i can appreciate atmosphere as much as next fan but...
that dam slope had to be one of the most rage inducing things i have felt in a while lol
loved the game, jake and sherry chemistry and then boom you get this
little to no visibilty
snipers see you and you obviously cant see them
fetch quest items are extremely spread apart
unable to recover on slope, even if you get hit at top you will slide down helplessly all the way to bottom
i dont know i just found the annoyance not necessary really. anyway atleast we got a cool funny scene in the cabin and a fun over the top snow mobile ride after. along with a stealth vibe in the mines and ustanak which was cool

Is it not ironic how time is infinite yet so limited?

I wasn't even mad at the ice slope, I just found the whole experience really really boring. Wandering around a white area, unable to see. Oh yay, following a map icon through a bland dull background, how incredibly exciting and atmospheric.
No, sorry, it bored me stupid, and I ended up rushing through it just to get onto the next part.

SinisterBlade posted...For me, absolutely not.
You see, when I play a video game, I like to see whats happening. Maybe I'm alone here, but that alone spoiled the entire chapter for me. I like the latter half, but going through the beginning makes it not worthwhile.
This. If your idea of "good atmosphere" is to make it hard as **** to see no matter what options you change on your TV then you have a really bad idea of what "good atmosphere" should be.
They could have made us feel like we were in a blizzard without flat out not letting us see at times. That section was awful for that one reason. It would have been great if I was able to play it in the evening and afternoon but it's nigh impossible.

I'm confused about this slope that people keep getting stuck falling down. In my four separate times of playing that section, I never once ended up getting knocked down the slope (I assume people are talking about the one that leads to the little encampment.)
I could also see just fine, but I guess that's just me. The game doesn't make you "literally blind," as you can still see as far as you need to. It's not like you have to be sniping at the nearby mountains or anything.
