when resident evil 4 was released 8 years ago back in 2005, people started complaining and telling capcom we want survivol horror, but capcom no no no no no no they want listen to the devoted people from 1996 till now 2013.

For those of you looking for closure, just consider the type of story formula Capcom has developed for RE. They can create some new terrorist organization that gets its hands on a virus and wreak havoc. They can do this ad nauseum. Chris and Leon may get retired at some point, but that's when Jake will step in.
There could be an end to the series, but it's just as easy to keep it going. The most you can hope for is closure for the characters, but that's about it.
As for a reboot, I'd have to see it first. I wasn't expecting the reboot of DMC, and I was outraged when I first heard about it, but once I saw it, played it--yeah, I really enjoy it. It just depends on how it turns out.
But I would prefer them to just make RE7 with a bigger focus on horror and atmosphere.

Many years have gone into building up this story...
Leon is now a badass agent, far from the rookie cop that he once was...
CHris finally had his revenge for the deaths of his teammates...
Wesker is dead...
Sherry finally is back after soo many years (shame Rebecca is still MIA)...
I fear the reboot, because they would surely change the characters in some way, maybe Leon will be a anti-hero-one-liner protragonist (then again, maybe he will finally get Ada), maybe they will make Claire just a random girl with no real character.
Hell, maybe they will make Wesker a good guy and have Chris be a villain...
Some many things can go wrong...
At least I hope they finish this story before doing a reboot...

First off, where did ANYONE say or imply that they wanted that crappy LOOKING of a Resident Evil game?
Secondly, that's a descent recreation of the first game for the technology it's on.
Thirdly, I want a game that PLAYS like the originals, not one that looks like them. The graphics and sound should always be as good of quality as they can be done.

I still want to say that gameplay-wise it needs to have different aspects.

So many different views... at least it keeps things interesting.
I would really like to keep co-op, however this will always scale down the tension. I see everyone praise revelations for being scary again, but you have guns with just as much fire power and constant gray blobs. Don't get me wrong, i loved it but it just didn't have much variety outside of those side chapters, those were fun, but it still sucked the tension/atmosphere right out.
I look forward to see what they did but you have to be realistic, everything was better/scarier as a kid
