- Oct 14, 2012 3:38 pm GMTLeon's game you get a hundred health items at the beginning, none in the middle, and few at the end.
Chris's game you get a decent amount of health but will constantly scraping by for ammo in at least one weapon.
Jake's game has an abundance of both. Your inventory will always be full.
At least this is what happened when I played.

Awww, tha'ts adorable. Using one word sentences, throwing out big boy insults, and making use of the word fail. I love it when people try to show off and act like internet tough boys for no reason.
Lets look back at a key word I used. Survival. I even put it in quotations for you. If you really think that word applies to this game, you are the dense one. You referred to the past (even quoted you) before melee attacks were put in. Which is the exact same reference I made. Running past enemies does not apply to this game. Managing ammo does not apply to this game. Avoiding enemies sure as hell doesn't apply to this game.
You were talking about the classics. I was giving a very valid reason why melee wasn't in the classics. This isn't the same type of game as the classics. It is an action game. Unfortunately, melee has a place here. It didn't just because you couldn't manage ammunition and were "sitting like a duck" as you put it, in the older games.
Think. Then speak.
Take your own advice, you failed to understand that older RE games were forced to do that because they were OLD. There is a reason melee system was introduced.
you have no valid resonable reason why melee should NOT be in the game. you act like it's impossible to not teach your self survival otherwise, i asked for a GOOD reason is to why meele shouldn't be in the series, not your personal nostalgia based reasons.I love it when people try to show off and act like internet tough boys for no reason.
haha, likewise, but you just contridicted yourself and that's what you just tried to do. with your "aww how adorable" 3rd grade comment, like you are something special and actually made a point, which you didn't.
But you did fail at what i asked. even tho it is my opinion, i still think melee was the best thing to happen to this series. that "gun and run" crap got old a long time ago. - Oct 14, 2012 3:51 pm GMTOrochi_Lede posted...

Quit trying so hard. Really. Half of what you're saying isnt even making sense. And you obviously aren't reading what I'm saying. A game being old has nothing to do with a lack of melee. Pretty sure most of Silent Hill was melee. Oh, also, I patronized you. I wasn't acting like a tough guy. Google it for the definition. - Oct 14, 2012 3:53 pm GMTThey shouldn't be in because it's not how the gameplay should be. You should rely on your weapons and aiming and such, not an automatic "press this button for super attack" crap.

You were already trying to hard to begin with. and i love how you keep giving me advice that you are the one that should be taking it, .
but now you are going off track. you can stop trying now, i got the awnser i was looking for from you. - Oct 14, 2012 4:03 pm GMTWiiplayer111 posted...

I had the same experience when I played. I found it rather odd.

So, to disprove my point, you quit trying all together? Repeating things I've already said sure shows you can think for yourself. But, then again, the way you argue should've already shown me you cant.
As far as going off track, yeah. Learned long ago you don't get anywhere trying to teach lesser beings. Can't train comprehension and thought process. - Oct 14, 2012 4:18 pm GMTif you do melee/range and have field medic on the game is dumb/easy, even on professional. Beat Leon's with 5 Health Sprays and massive amounts of ammo.

Melee attacks shouldn't be in the series.
Care to give a good explination as to why? or was shooting till you ran out of ammo and be a sitting duck fun to you.
Teaches you to think before you kill. "Can I avoid this enemy?" "Do I have enough ammo to last for a while?" "Will I be coming back and forth through this area alot to make the ammo worth spending?" Thats the "survival" part. You dont blast everything in sight. Sometimes, you just have to run. Plus, you always had the knife. Running out of ammo is scary. Having an abundance surely isnt.
This issue is more related to not having enemies that are not imposing enough for 3rd person survival.
The knife was melee but due to controls and more damaging enemies it was more riskier.
The question then becomes should they limit the player by removing things or making harder enemies.
Many classic fans I think want all those limitations back.
You do have those limitations though. You can only really melee basic enemies. Any Bloodshots or Crysalids will rape you if you try and melee them and hell, if theres more than 2 or 3 guys, you cant even melee out. You'll be stuck with no stamina and everything will rip into you.

What I mean is removing specif game play.
What you describe is simply balancing. no matter what a game will have certain limitations for balance.

There was no point to "disprove" all you showed me is you had no valid point to make which is why i stoped bothering, i understand that you just need something to help you sleep at night so i just left alone, and you still keep trying.
i can only debate with ignorence for so long before it just becomes a waste of time, which is what happend here.
and you're right, you don't get anywhere trying to teach lesser beings, and i am sad that i had to deal with one, move along now. - Oct 14, 2012 6:30 pm GMTI think its pretty damn obvious that melee should be an option, as it was presented in the older games, but its way too stupid to make it such a powerful option, who on their right minds would think that its realistic to mess up zombies as if you were the Fist of the North Star when a big characteristic of the series is to survive with limited resources, avoid conflict if possible since surviving is the top priority?
