We get an interview with Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City producer Masachika Kawata at Captivate 2011.
yea okk the zombies walk just like how the sims vampires walks and they are fast!!!!!!!!!! thats stupid i dont know whats wrong with u did u just lose it or u dont understand it!!
Why are we killing Leon? I don't wanna kill Leon! He's cool! :D Looking forward to this. Hopefully it will turn out really well.
This fad of having a motto or phrase for the development team is interesting... but Kill Leon is the worst one Ive ever heard
hehe i wonder how they can make leon you target... hes human so if hes a boss i dont think he will have too many tricks apart from side strafing and shooting his handgun
it looks like a remake of resident evil 1,2 but it look good than 4 and 5 i like dark cities welcome back RACCON
Well the zombies are back...racoon city is back.....hmmmm...i think they are going back to the old RE days
This looks like it's going to be awesome. I love when they make games in the RE universe that are different from the classic games. I would like Capcom to come out with a new RE that has the old classic gameplay, i.e. before RE4. I can't believe it's going to come out this year too! Along with GoW3 this is the other MUST have for me personally.
@Squallgunblade: If they intend on moving forward with the crap RE4-scheme for any new titles in the series, I say kill them ALL.
@MonkeySpot Leon is the best and my fave resident evil character they better never kill him are i just will never buy 1 of their games they better kill Chris are Clair or somebody first
It just gives me a Left 4 Resident Evil feel. Might be fun, I'll definately get it and give it a whirl at least.
The only good coming out of this is "Kill Leon" - They should have done it before RE4, in my opinion. From RE4 onward, the series has taken a serious nose-dive. Co-Op puts the nail in the coffin. Feh.
The first 3 resdident eilg ames were bades on horror it was scarry, then 4 and 5 was survival and then there is this which is .........i dont know
(if you played resident evil 2 you will understand) That leon was on his first day on the job, he became a cop in racon city and he was a witness to the zombies realeased by umbrella(umbrella did a mistake they had to fix it) so they have to kill him in this game but this didnt happen in resident evil 2 and he lived throughout the horrors of raccon city and you continue his adverture in resident evil 4 in the trailer leon died which make no sence at all
Doesn't look good. In an age where every game is about shooting zombies, has an extra game mode about shooting zombies, or dlc which lets you shoot zombies, you gotta create a game that stands out, not one that blends in with the rest. What this dev is pretty much saying is that they are removing everything that made RE different to make it more appealing to the bro shooter crowd. Thing is, you don't have to do that for something to sell. Look at dead rising, they made something different and its a very popular series now.
@ BKJ4TW I don't wholly disagree that there are some things that changed for the worse in my personal opinion in Resident Evil, however to say that it wasn't received well by fans is not something I truly believe. It may be the loudest bunch, but it is not the biggest, and many who have played earlier RE games bought and liked RE5, myself included.
There seems to be a huge disconnect between the producers of the RE franchise and the fans. RE5 was not received well by us, the fans. Yes, a lot of us bought the game, but that was based on the merits of RE1-4. Don't confuse sales numbers with fan desire for more action and less survival; I bought RE5 and wont be touching future RE installments because of the experience.
so um can someone point out to me where in resi 2 leon was being hunted? ,,, think i shall skip this if its messing with the story I happened to love
wtf!!! i was excited too much just only because of leon but then no leon. slant six going to ruin this game
He said fans have ben saying they want more run and gun or the like... Um...no. I haven't. Maybe some others have. Frankly, that's another genre. I want survival horror. RE2 was the best so far in my humble opinon.
I for one am excited to finally return to Raccoon City! This is a long overdue reunion with the city where it all began!
sounds fun. they wanna experiment with new styles and they using re to do so. no prob with that. i just hope the fear factor is in this title. re 5 didnt have much..
he said fans have been asking for something new in re games. He obviously is neglecting the true re fans. I do think its some what cool how they say you can rewrite re history by killing leon. Re 6 should have claire in it
