as long as its still an item collecter its fine with me. its still mystery and as usual it has many different directions/options to go for making the game higly replayable. puzzle... i dont think this one will have that either. im just syked for the online play thats gonna be so hilarious and fun, lol XDXDXD! trenchy looks flipping frightening!
I actually like how this game looks now way better than it did at first but im not gona completely judge it till its released :D
I kind of like this direction. Definitely not traditional RE, but I'm not going to say much until after I play it.
I like it, if it was part of mercenaries, or for some part of the story. I hope the final game includes a full action stages like this and some silent and scary ones. ...and yeah, some puzzles
For some reason, and i am not quite sure, but it kinda reminds me of Socom. Ok time for the thumbs down!
i love third person shooters and im RE fan since 1998 and this game brings back memories, the atmosphere, those mercs, places like stagla gas station and that burning fuel tank blocking the road! i want this.. and i hope there's MP skins like Jill (RE3) , Leon, Claire, Ada etc. :))

This is what resident evil needed. The games are too slow to hold young gamers now and days. Everyone is just over reacting because they are bad at faster games. This makes Left 4 Dead look like a little girl zombie experience.
I'm glad that resident evil is trying something new. Don't get me wrong the old resident evil's we have now are great, but their trying something new here and it could work or it couldn't.

WTF! Why is that guy who works for gamespot interviewing for this game? He doesn't even know what lickers are! There is just something about that guy that always makes me think he doesn't play video games even though he works for gamespot. This new generation of Gamespot editors suck(Aside from Kevin Van Ord) compared to the pre Jeff Gerstman firing.....
People seem to be missing the point here... A true resident evil fan would want to know the experience of raccoon city from all aspects, which is what this game is. We should be praising capcom for making a game that finally reveals a bit of the story that is for Umbrella for once. Obviously they made the game more fast paced to meet the character requirements! Do you honestly believe that a strike force, experienced in combating the T-virus would be slowly pacing through buildings and picking random items they find to solve puzzles?
Everyone should know that Resident Evil doesnt need an cod crap styled online muiltiplayer but what it does need is a brilliant story with fun offline single or coop gameplay am not sure about you but I for one do not play resident Evil online much.
If you think you getting a RE game, I hate to tell you think but this is not RE game it's just an other SOCOM game with zombies in it. the game play is JUST like SOCOM and the game do not have the scary feel to it. I was at E3 playing the Demo of this game. god this game is beyond terrible. as a RE fan I feel like Capcom is embarrassing themself by putting this game out named RE. maybe it's just me but still not a RE game
OMG first they turned resident evil from an action adventure puzzle game (RE 1/2/Nemesis/Code Veronica) to a kinda slow paced shooter with a puzzle or two per game(re4 / re5) ....and now they totally killed the franchise turning it to a left 4 dead game in disguise... don't get me wrong i loved RE4 and RE5 but its sad to see one of my best childhood games turn into a typical shooting game... as if we don't have enough of them already :S.
As if there was a need of yet another shooter.. hell to this, I hoped Capcom was going back to theRE dark origins, just improving the combat system. They should learn from Eidos, look what they are doing with Lara Croft!!
The funny part is that Gears of War wouldn't have happened without RE4, and now that Gears is so popular Crapcom's the one copying Epic with that stupid run and gun, take cover, run and gun formula. That's the funny part. The sad part is that this game will still sell better than all previous RE games.
Gears of War shooting + Turok Knife kills + Zombies + MGS = this pile of crap, im tired of this co-op, multiplayer BS for RE series.... always having to babysit the A.I, and having to deal with real life players is a pain in the ass
after seeing this i feel like i dont want it anymore, whatever happened to solo, claustrophobic areas? this to me seems and looks like a gears of war game
I love how this game looks and the idea to play as the bad guys seems very interesting. I am curious to see how the story goes and progresses. I am a huge resident evil fan and as nice as the old resident evil was having a game come out being the same as the first resident evil would not make much sense story wise. It does get boring hearing about raccoon city and the same characters over and over again. In this game you have raccoon city but playing it with new characters that are involved with umbrella; that alone intrigues me. My problem would be on how having four players would work because we all know that people over the internet like to joke around or not work together and making the game more stressful then it needs to be. I am also curious to see as to how offline play would work.

this is far from b a "classic" RE but let me tell u, its so fast, so cool....i never though i was going 2 see raccoon city like this. this IS the chaos that was happening in that old raccoon city that i know. is nice to see some new cool perspectives...
Can't wait for this one, and the gameplay looks fantastic. I agree that it's not what Resident Evil should be, but who knows, maybe the plot will be fantastic. Not much has been explained about it yet. Plus, online competitive modes would be a nice addition, if I may judge from this footage.
Yes, For once we get to be the corporation and kick some zombie a**! I can't wait till this game comes out now!!
