Resident Evil User Review
Resident Evil had a good run back then, and even now, the T-Virus plagues our GameCubes.

What can I say? I'm a hardcore Resident Evil fan. This game is both fun, and creepy. It's similar to the original in so many ways, I instantly fell in love with it.
The story is, you are a member of S.T.A.R.S., a special forces squad sent in to investigate the disappearance of Bravo Team. On your way there, you find their bodies, dead, ripped apart. Eventually, you begin to hear growling in Raccoon Forest. It seems as if it was your imagination. But it's not. You are attacked by rabid dogs, missing some of their flesh, as they kill one of your teammates. The entire team gets ambushed by a pack of dogs, as they chase you into a huge mansion. Only a few of you actually made it however.
The game allows you to pick one of two people. Chris Redfield, or Jill Valentine, each with their own story-arcs and encounters. Wesker, the captain of S.T.A.R.S., along with one buddy, actually made it with you. You hear a gunshot and go to investigate. Blood is on the floor near the fireplace. When you exit to the next room and round the corner, your buddy Kenneth, another member of S.T.A.R.S., is dead, being eaten by a zombie. Afterwards, you run back to Wesker, who has vanished without a trace. From here on, your on your own.
The game is similar to the old Resident Evil, for the PlayStation, but different in many ways. Doors that could be unlocked one way, may need to be unlocked a different way. On top of this, zombies are no longer what they used to be. When you kill a zombie, you need to burn them or get a headshot. If you don't, a crimson head will emerge.
These guys are faster, meaner, and do alot more damage than a zombie. They are also exclusive to Resident Evil on the GameCube. Beyond these changes, this is still the same Resident Evil you played when graphics were blocky looking, and lips never moved. Except of course, the graphics are much better. Boss fights generally have a weakness to a certain weapon, and there are plenty of puzzles to solve. There's even hidden costumes and different modes when you beat the game a certain amount of times. All in all, this is a very good game.

Aside from obvious visual upgrades, added control tweaks help make this the best version of original Resident Evil.
