What happens to exported songs?

If I change console or if i lose my old discs or they get scratched will i be able to redownload the songs?

I'm asking because I just found out if you change PS3 you lose singstar songs.

Anything that you buy from the PS store is tied to your account and can be re-downloaded as many times as you want on up to five systems that your account is active on for items purchased before November 2011, and two systems for items purchased after. You can deactivate your account from a broken console via a PC or calling customer service.

Exported songs only need to be re-downloaded from your download history, except for RB1, in which case you will need the disc. I don't know the specifics for Singstar DLC, but what you've described doesn't sound right.
