- The Bottom Line:
- "Total letdown"
It's been years since the original sidhe Rugby League games. With time should come a better game, right? Try telling Big Ant Studios that. Rugby League Live is the first Rugby League Game since the great Rugby League 2: World Cup Edition and the first for the PS3 and 360.
The game play isn't up to standard. It's a very easy game, with the amount of tries being higher than the time on the clock, well something must be wrong. The graphics are just as bad as well. The controls aren't up to scratch either with limited options in the controls it lacks the real life intensity.
There are fewer game modes than the previous games. This would easily anger fans as the franchise mode was such a hit for the previous games. The players attributes aren't very realistic and the teams statistics are definitely not even par.
The commentary on the game is about a four out of ten as well. With commentary going all over the place it's a wonder how Andrew Voss signed up to the series.
With the graphic, game play, modes and about everything in Rugby live not going anywhere close to it's previous titles it's definitely a rent first game. The game is an average buy for rugby league games. However, if you still have your old ps2 laying around just play the previous rugby league games they will give you a much better gaming experience.

Nice to see a rugby league game on the Playstation 3, But sadly it lacks in many places and has no career mode.

Don't believe the professional reviewers out there. This game is a diamond in the rough. If you love your league, buy it
