I havent written many reviews on games so bare with me if my spelling is wrong or i waffle on a bit about things that are not relevant (like what im doing now)

SO down to the meat of it.
I played Saints Row 2 and almost finished it before my ps3 broke and have not yet gone back to finish it i do not believe you need to have played the number 2 to understand the 3rd.
i saw all the hype around this game when it came out and thought i will wait until it went down to buy it, believing that like the 2nd game its an over the top sandbox for which it did not take itself seriously.

One might compare it to GTA series due to the similar nature of the game, however i would suggest that its more like GTA on red cordial or redbull.

The game is full of the everythings that one would want in playing one of these games except its more light hearted and abruptly silly.

The game follows the main gang in steelport the saints, who are the "in thing" in steelport being now more a corporate logo instead of gangtas, this leads to a coup via multiple gangs to take them down, leading to potentially having to start back from the begining to build the gangs respect against the new power gangs who invaded steelport.

The game is full of flash, fun, sexyness, guns, humour, cars and customization.
Besides customization there is MORE customization, this aspect adds to the fun and is a core component of the game.

Overall the games story line is solid, the gun mechanics feel dated though not having the recoil feeling and depth of other games out there, the driving still handles bad, though not over the top like GTA 4 floating driving mechanics, the game felt easy to complete the story line and as your respect grows it gets easier and easier.

Overall i give it 8 out of 10.
I will keep go back and try for trophies unlike alot of other games i play
