Now Playing: Spy Party Beta
- Dec 6, 2012
Carolyn Petit and Tom McShea get their feet wet in their first outing withe the Beta for Spy Party.
Interesting concept, I think with work this could be a good 1v1 game.
Not impressed with the presenters though. Sorry.
Lost ALL interest as soon as i saw the in game, who the hell made this? Did the people who made runescape make this?
@WolfGrey BETA...not demo
@WolfGrey The current graphics are placeholder graphics while the official art is currently being developed (and has been revealed). While these graphics do grow on you after a while, the true beauty of the game isn't how it looks, but rather how it plays. And it plays great. If you're so concerned about the visuals of a game, then it is most likely that this game will not be geared towards your interests. There are plenty of good looking games out there for you to play, so I'm sure you won't regret walking away from this one. For those who can overlook a game in development looking like it's, well, in development, trust me that SpyParty is a lot of fun as it currently stands.
@666NightsInHell like gears of war 3 and uncharted 3 right?
I really need to get a new pc... It's been few months since my really old and crappy pc broke and I've been using ps3's browser for surfing. It's a shame I cannot watch live streams or any other videos here at GS. Thankfully I can download videos real fast =) Now I'm waiting for downloadable version of this Now Playing. Can't wait as I wanna see what this game is about
aaand I just love GS videos =) Great entertainment, keep up on the good work!
@SkamArtist No, currently there are 5 maps available. More to come, I'm sure!
@KCMmmmm Hey, was it you I was playing with? Thanks so much for being so helpful and informative! :)
Yeah I remember the podcast. He did seem very passionate and very eccentric! Wouldn't be suprised if this never came out as he is so much of a perfectionist :P
Would he be able to finish faster with Kickstarter? Surely such an active beta community would support that?
@Marccee4 Checker is preferring doing a paid beta program similar to MineCraft than using Kickstarter. You get access to the beta and the full version of the game when it releases for $15. He hopes to open the beta up in the very near future, so sign up if you're interested!
I've known about this game since it was announced a while ago and have been tracking it for what seems like years, if you don't know anything about it STAY as I'm sure once you get an idea of what it's trying to do from a gameplay standpoint as it's very unique you'll be definitely interested at the very least.
@Humdinger80 Feel exactly the same! Heard the creator on one of GS's podcasts long ago and been excited to see it ever since! Cheers GS this should be amazing! :)
@nomailx well it seems like it could be some sort of party?. possibly with spy's involved, I don't know the title leaves a lot to the imagination.
