Danny and Johnny travel back to the 1930s to battle mobsters and cars without power steering.
When games were epic and unforgettable! Make more gameplays of these classic games please :)
I don't think I'd watch this if they weren't Irish. Somehow that makes everything better.
Of course I tell my Irish friends the exact opposite of that, but I'm a bastard.
The live feed was awesome
Got me and my brother both starting new games haha
Such a great game - and game engine for its time - had a lot of fun with Hidden & Dangerous 2 as well
Pity that franchise is pretty much dead now =(
Mafi was basically Django Reinhardt's music with a few cameos from Duke Ellington & co. - great tunes though
I completed this game as a fucking child, my god you were horrible to watch.
look at the score , it was 9.3 . What is the difference between 9.2 and 9.3 .I'm glad Gamespot changed that attitude of giving games scores like that
Cracker of a classic game. Great limited soundtrack, voice acting, attention to detail and set piece shootouts (no cover mechanic tomfoolery). That sweeping intro and narration gave the whole game such a polished feel and helped set it apart from the GTAs. Still remember the 'WTF?!? ending'. Hoping for a Mafia III someday.
In 2012, I take a risk to download MAFIA II. But I am happy now because MAFIA II was was very awesome game. But i didn't played This.
I loved that game. To me it was so much better than GTA, I never got into the over the top crap.
I loved having to keep to the speed limit and stopping at red lights. Plus the music is so cool you just don't care :)
Go back to Ireland fatty, you are a disgrace along with some other young ball sacks, this gamespot site which, GAMESPOT, I expect quality not quantity from mediocre journalists
@UKangelito Sounds like someone is still bitter about The Fenian Rising of 1867, obviously.

@UKangelito you seem to be a very rude and immature induvidual, I feel sorry for whatever friends or family that still put up with you.
....Also if you don't lke his stuff don't watch it.... it's really not that hard.
@UKangelito This, ladies and gentlemen, is just a small portion of what the Irish people had to contend with for the past 900 years. Famine, exploitation, religious persecution, and countless other atrocities; all committed in the name of the British crown in Ireland, and he has the nerve to call for the firing of this man because he is a"fat shitty potatoe eater".
@UKangelitoSo that it huh, yelling he's "potatoe eater" did for ya, Danny didn't cut the game a slack, that got nothing to do with Ireland (which i wish i could visit someday), Pierce Brosnan (Bond for 8 Years) you know is Irish, Liam Neeson too the list could go on. if you liked the original Mafia support it, otherwise don't turn that comments section to (CRASH).
One last thing to Danny, William DeMeo was in The Sopranos among many others in Mafia's Cast.
@dannyodwyer Good to hear you might give it another go sometime. To this day I think it just might have the best game story ever written in any genre. Small praise, I know. Also next time hit F4 to switch on the speed limiter- all your speeding fine problems will vanish ;)
Oh.. uh.. game suggestion hey... let's see... Actually I'll say the first Driver, PS1 version if possible. You think it's annoying having the cops pull you over for speeding- wait till you see the Driver cops go all Blues Brothers on you for creeping over a red light!
Getting away with the taxi as the first mission was one of the harders, next to the other million hard mission, but One om my tops games played as a kid.
When you here that siren for speeding, will you pull over, or try to get away? Some of the games biggest questions :D
How far back can we go when suggesting games? What about some NES tittles?
Like the original Bionic Comando or something more obscure like Kabuki: the Quantum Fighter?
Those are not only laughable (at this day and age) but also happens to be excellent games.
This game was and is still very fun to play, story line is also very good as well.
Too bad the second one diden't live up to the hype :(
this game left a great memory in my heart , I was hoping mafia 2 to leave the mark in my heart but Na : (
I suggest Tribes Vengeance
This is not my kind of game but it was still okay watching; how about this suggestion: Bomberman Land Touch! [2006].
played it on PC recently and I think I got a trainer just to get the cops off my back :P seriously though, it's annoying getting pulled over for everything. plus the cars handled so badly that it's hard to drive properly. great game, thanks Danny!
Great game the second one was ok but to me was not as good as the first. I hope they make another one of these games I like the genre
on of the best titles i've ever played on PC ..
very sad story .. and i'm a bit disappointed with the newer release .. but it wasn't that bad .. and the relation between them was nice ..
I don't know if you're willing to go back that far, but I think lots of us would love to see you two play Blood. The weapons, the enemies, the atmosphere and the whole game in general is freakin hilarious (in a good way). i'm sure you'd have a great time. Typical Random Encounter material.
I had Mafia for the PS2 and I can remember the cops comming after you for every little thing you did wrong, I'm glad they fixed most of it in Mafia 2. You still cant speed but its easier to see the cops on your radar now. It was a fun game and after GTA 3, I was looking for more open world games.
I love this game. I used to play it over and over and over again.
Do Vietcong on PC next please!
