Danny and Martin rocket jump back to 1999 to play some Quake III Arena, Team Arena and Quake Live.
@nocty1120 use to play in an instagib clan and urban terror mod (counter strike clone)
@vihazur Console kiddies won't pay for it because it is too hard + you can't play it properly on a console.
And yet Q3 Arena came out on the Sega Dreamcast, which, in case you are too young to know, is indeed a console. A great one at that. And might I add this game was fantastic with the Dreamcast controller
@Shingetsu @jorge69696 @vihazur I played on DC... loved q3a, I used mouse/kb and a 56k modem on the DC.... lol..... it was the game that switched me to PC Gaming..... more consoles should allow a mouse/kb setup
@Shingetsu Current console controllers wouldn't work you dipshit. Dreamcast controller being good or not has nothing to do with it.
realms of the haunting should be looked at definatly. system shock 2 was also really good and now is a good time to revisit that with the new bioshock game coming out
Outlaw (by lucasart) or Carmageddon, there are a couple of games you should take a look at :-)
quake live is the worst, when you kill someone its like fireworks, no fun my babe, no fun
Absolutely adored the video.
I love it when people from the (more-or-less) present talk about games they love from the distant past, and to get footage of it at the same time is fantastic.
The fact that you're good at it and that I love it too is just icing on an already bitchin' cake.
Cheers Danny/Martin.
I remember going to a local leisure centre back in 1999 where they had a LAN party room with Quake 3. It was awesome.
Quake was awesome but UT was even better, with rush type mod. Please make a video with Myth: Fallen Lords( the best Bungie game), carmageddon 2, battlezone, Alien vs Predator (1999)
Damn Danny has butter wrists.
His killstreak at that railgun level was sick (i mean... for a guy who actually has a job).
my favorite FPS , still playing it online on PC and on Dreamcast and with split screen friends , Quake III is awesomeness
Seeing this I almost regret never having played quake more often... I remember how all my friends played it in the media room of our high school, but every time I gave it a try I was completely butchered. I was more an age of empires kind of guy... sigh.
Nowadays it's all about realistic world physics with realistic weapons. No wonder I haven't gotten into a first person shooter since Q3
Quite sad that todays newer generation or younger gamers haven't experienced this masterpiece of multiplayer gaming, one of the all time grates! Nothing beat using a Johnny Bravo skin rocketing your friend in a Looney Toon skin :P amazing gaming merories!
why we don't have such games in these days??? wish to have in HD, still love and play with my buddies .....
I'm going to shout out Soldier of Fortune for a future video!! But to be honest, what a game Quake III: Arena was. Legendary.
Quake III was the first game that i started playing in a competitive way.
Games that i would like to see played by you guys would be
Jagged Alliance - 1, Warcraft II & III, Monkey Island
now this is what a FPS game should be, too bad they ruined the formula nowadays
I'm more of an Unreal Tournament and UT2004 person. Though, I loved Quake 3 Arena for the Sega Dreamcast. Makes me wanna play Open Arena (legal, open-source, Q3 clone) on my laptop.
Awesome! Love the commentary, Quake definately stole that from Halo! Started playing Unreal, then TFC, CS (was even part of a CS climbers clan lol), CS Source (Still best Zombie game/mod today).. Love seeing these games getting their recognition!
Yes Carmageddon! SWAT was fun..
@edwards86 that?s the path I did lol.... tfc.... best clan multiplay i have ever encountered....
Spend so many hours playing this, the first on-line game that I have ever played and it was freakin awesome!
What game is that in the intro with the bus sinking into water and a man in a black suit standing there looking very stiff? Lol it just looks so terrible, I have to know!
@pal_080 Euro bus simulator, they did a live feed of Danny playing it and yes it's terrible.
@joe-pineapples @pal_080 The secret code episode about it was pretty hilarious though...
This is what FPS's need to go back to. Modern versions of games like this would be sick.
This game is excellent and the fast paced gameplay is breathtaking; here is more game suggestions: Assault Heroes [2006] and Mario Party 3 [2000]
