- Apr 27, 2012 7:32 pm GMTTime for one final update for my collection. The ONLY way I will update again, is if I get more variants. However, they are not needed for one to have a 100% complete collection. If that were the case, Toys for Bob would have put them on the "collect them all poster."
Anyhow, here is a final look. Everything on my wall is filled in. I've been done for a bit, but I have only managed to find time to update my collection over at Darkspyro.net and Neogaf.com.

Here are the variants I have collected thus far. 3 silvers, 3 golds, Toy Fair Cynder, blue Bash, Target Whirlwind, Walmart Drill Sergeant (yes the last two are actually different than their mass released versions) -

And that should be that. I had more pics last time, but I simplified it. It feels good to be done for the time.

The Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony fanboy. PSWii60DSP FTW! 1323 games and still growing. XBL: GameMaster1178 PSN: megax28 - Apr 27, 2012 8:54 pm GMTWOW! That's an impressive collection! I'm guessing you're ready for Giants to come out now?
And a small request: can you post some pictures of how you lay the Skyanders and the Adventure Pack items in those cases? After seeing your collection last time, I went out and bought a few of the cases but am having some trouble figuring out how to place them all in there.

I bought three cases last night and used mega's pics as a guide, myself. Take the URL for any of those pics and trim the tail to see his pics. THey should be right there.
What I do want to mention is that the boxes weren't as perfect as everyone said they were. Some characters fit in rather awkward positions, and you end up pushing on certain appendages on some of the larger characters. It's sufficient, but, if you're having trouble, I'd say that's why. Some of them only fit in a certain compartment at a certain orientation. Prism Break probably caused me the most trouble.

You could write a book, call it "Unidentified Loving Object". It'd sell millions. - Apr 28, 2012 10:53 am GMTAh my bad. My apologies. I didn't realize you had some in the album already. Thank you for pointing that out z.

Now if only I could find a Wham-Shell! Then my collection will be complete! Not as complete as mega's but complete enough for me.

Dare I ask how much that all cost?
I thought I had a pretty impressive collection (31 skylanders, 28 unique with 4 left to collect; I have the triple legendary pack, but not trigger happy sadly
).
But yeah that is an impressive collection / shrine
. - Apr 28, 2012 12:43 pm GMTCosted a lot.

As per your request, I will show precisely how to put an entire Skylanders collection into 3 Stanley Sortmaster Jr. cases.
TOP CASE -
http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a391/zerox101/P1010162.jpg
NOW NOTE THIS ABOUT THE ABOVE PIC! Voodoods axe bends in that position. I have found a way to keep the axe from bending. Simply turn over. His base will hug the top piece of that square chunk that hangs out in that slot. The bottom of his axe will hug the bottom part, straightening the part of the axe that easily bends the most.
Also, as of these pics, Zook is THE ONLY Skylander who has a piece that intrudes on the case, making it so his rocket bends inward. I have found a way to solve that.
Replace Dark Spyro with Zook in these cases, and NO Skylander will have anything bending.
MIDDLE CASE -

BOTTOM CASE -

8 Giant Skylanders
4 New Light Force Skylanders
4 New Skylanders
32 Reposed Skylanders
4 Reposed Light Force Skylanders

I thought there were only supposed to be sixteen new ones? Eight Giants, eight new Skylanders (four of which are featuring this new "light up" technology). And then I thought they were only redoing something like eight or sixteen of the old Skylanders?

Now there's a Flocked Stump Smash being given out by Frito Lay only 3773 of them were made. The promotion ends on May 5th. It wasn't a very heavily advertised promotion, so now everyone who calls the 1-800 number is a winner. I won one, but I will consider it a miracle if they manage to get my address right (you have to tell it to a recording and it plays it back for you) and it actually makes it to my house.
http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee20/spyroflame0487/flockedstumpyinfo.png
There are also 4 sidekicks smaller skylanders that will follow you around in the game. Whisper Elf, Trigger Snappy, Gill Runt, and Terrabyte. These will be given out as part of a Frito Lay Promotion in June.
http://gamegravy.com/2012/04/27/skylander-side-kicks-out-in-junejuly/ - Apr 30, 2012 8:24 am GMTDespite owning the silver and gold variants, I never considered them a part of completing my collection. They are just extra.
I won the flocked Stump already. Just waiting for it to arrive. I am also waiting for the sidekicks promo to start, so I can get those.
However, just because I won flocked Stump, doesn't mean it's needed for anyone to complete their collection.
My goal for my personal collection - to be completed - has always been to get -
- 25 singles (26 if Dark Spyro single comes to the US)
- 8 triple packs
- 4 adventure packs
- Legendary 3-Pack
- Legendary Trigger Happy
- 2 open sets of Skylanders. 1 for each upgrade path.
Flocked Stump, silvers, golds, clears, glows, Toy Fair Cynder and Hex are all extra in my eyes.

Wii Goldeneye007 FC: 422560464668 - May 14, 2012 12:34 pm GMTWell, to be honest. I've known about Gamefaqs, and posted my collection here, before I even knew what Darkspyro was.
Had it not been for Skylanders, I wouldn't even have known about Darkspyro. The place is full of a lot of babies who whine too much. However, at the same time, it's the mature ones that keep me going back.
Lesson to learn, folks. Forget that name, Darkspyro.net. It's full of immature kids. The same could be said of all sites. However, trust me when I say, it's actually worse than this site.

Growing old is mandatory. Growing up is optional. - May 27, 2012 10:35 am GMTHow are the Target Whirlwind and Walmart Drill Sergeant different than the wave 3 versions?
---
Take me out to the black. Tell 'em I ain't coming back. - May 27, 2012 10:59 am GMTI'm not digging through his photos to find them for comparison, but I'm pretty sure it's the exclusivity sticker or whatnot. Whirlwind probably has one that says she is only at Walmart or something akin to that.

I never cared abot justice, and I don't recall ever calling myself a hero...if an enemy appears in front of me, I will destroy it! - Jun 4, 2012 6:04 am GMTThere is a difference... but it's subtle.
IIRC...
The base on Target exclusive Whirlwind is completely white instead of having the blue highlights like other Air types.
The base on WalMart exclusive Drill Sergeant has much darker gears (oil covered?) compared to other Tech bases.

I didn't check your pics in too much detail, but is there a Volcanic Vault in there?
Do you have the game on both Mac and PC?
Will you get the new bag (it releases in the UK early July), official product? It carries 32 Skylanders, but it looks to be simply made of two compartments to hold 16 each in a jumbled bunch, and an extra compartment for the portal. Front flap of the bag folds out as a play area.

Nah. I'm too anal about them scratching against each other. In my collection photos, you will see I have a case for mine. It's called the Stanley Sortmaster Jr., and it takes three of them to fit all 37 Skylanders, 8 magical items, and 4 expansion levels. They snap together for easy travel.
