For a minute there I thought you meant the RC tank mission, but then i guess you mean the mission where you chase the Carmelita is in when she tries and takes off with the clockwerk eye in the tank. I liked that part, the controls were fine. It reminded me of controlling the tanks in the Ape Escape games.

Come on guys, we all know the canon ending to Silent Hill 2 was the Dog ending
The best parts of Super Mario 64 were the Bowser levels.

What I'd like are some useful gadgets. Some of them like the alarm clock were useful in Sly 2, but became just a little toy to play with in Sly 3.

Then there are the gadgets like Sly's Paraglider ( in my opinion the best gadget in both games) that was a necessity for certain jobs. These were actually worth buying from thiefnet.

Maybe Sanzaru could lend Carmelita and the ancestors a few gadgets, considering it could add up to some pretty cool heist possibilities.

Lastly, all gadgets should be useful in some way, and not just for show.A prime example of a "for show" gadget is Murray's guttural roar.( which scared away guards.)

the china level where you had to dodge all the lights in the rc and then destroy them that sucked

Honestly, Penelope's RC levels were rather weak. More of a gimmick than anything else.

And don't get me started on Dimitri's 'missions.' UGH.

this is most likely impossible now,but one thing i wish was gone is bentley being able to easily get around places and top of buildings,in sly 3 bentley could rocket jump to high places and run away almost better than sly,i liked it better in sly2 when you had to be cautious playing with bentley,as he was slow and weak and couldn't escape enemies so easy without power-ups.in sly3 fighting with bentley was too easy (simply jump into guards spinning and quickly throwing laying bombs, and triple boost outta the way)

Venshen actually raises a good point. I remember in Sly 2 part of me hated having to play as Bentley (I remember dreading the prison break chapter) cause he couldn't fight like Murray or navigate the environment like Sly; having said that though it always felt like a real achievement when you pulled it off. Bentley's gameplay used to be a lot slower and strategic, which was a nice change of pace.

Come Sly 3 though and he's a little too overpowered. He's a lot faster (even more so with boosts) and much better at climbing due to the hover upgrades, even his combat's easier and he can take a much more direct approach.

Hopefully Sanzaru will tweak this, they seem to be making an effort to make the characters fit their respective categories better (such as them making Murray more bulky).

We need less micro skill-oriented such as Penelope's RC car, Panda King's fireworks, and Dimitri's HORRID diving jobs.

The ugly controls for Dimitri were just disgraceful. Even worse is the hard to learn control system was used once and then BOOM a boss battle! This boss was HARD due to the sheer lack of experience with Dimitri.

Next are those sticky controls for the RC missions. Just remember how AWFUL it was to navigate that temple corridor with the blue security beams, then have to destroy them just mere seconds after the relief of terminating the computer by the dragon statue!

Some missions such as Carmelita's missions were excellently crafted and gave you plenty of practice throughout the game, and I hope even if Carmelita can't free roam environments like Rioichi and Sir Galleth, she will have a good control scheme.

Just a few more months until release, so lets hope we all get what we're praying for this time around.

I heard somewhere that she'll be in the safehouse once you unlock her through story missions, like the ancestors. That means she'll be able to free roam, right?

I saw a picture once with both her AND Sir. Galleth, AND Rioichi in the same house with Sly, Bentley, and Murray, I just don't remember where it was at though. Also, smasher302, I must keep saying, I loved all the new editions of Sly 3. Also, you got to play as Dimitri two times to get used to him. You got the blast collars in episode 5, remember?

Don't get me wrong, i enjoyed hunting sharks around an old shipwreck as Dimitri. If they bring his diving skills into Thieves in Time, the controls could use some minor tweaking.

By the way, I HATED having to carry fragile objects across the whole stage. Remember having to carry that monstrous ruby around as Murray in Sly 2. I couldn't stand having to babysit that thing while goons attacked me left and right.

And about Carmelita, i did see the pic of Galleth AND Carmelita a while back, and since it was part of a trailer, it can't be Photoshop. I'm fairly sure she will be able to roam the environments, and we might get more info at E3 this Monday. I guess only time will tell.

I liked collecting the loot in Sly 2, because that, along with the clue bottle collecting, gave a reason to explore the game. In Sly 3, there was no reason to explore sections of the game that the game didn't make you go to in actual missions.

Also, one thing I think they SHOULD add is much huger environments, and side missions at random. Kind of like in the inFAMOUS games, only they'd be different obviously, because you're a thief.

I really don't see why people are complaining about the non-stealth in Sly 3. I mean, I realize that Sly Cooper is supposed to be a stealth game, but that's part of the STORY, which, to me, is the least of my worries. The story means absolutely nothing to me. As long as the game play is fun, no matter how the put it, I'm happy.

I agree. If the gameplay is fun, I'm good. Although that's one thing a lot liked about Sly 2 was the stealth but Sly 3 essentially lacked that element. I guess you could say its apart of the story but it's also incorporated into the gameplay.

What made Sly 2 great was the sheer amount of stealth in the game. Missions such as the charged TNT run on Arpeggio's blimp or the job where you had to take transmitters from the mouths of bears incorporated the stealth element so well that just ONE slip-up was fatal. Another stealth element is the spotlight/laser security system's constant appearances throughout the game, and they kept you on your toes!

In Honor Among Thieves, the stealth element was severely dulled down. But the game was a success because it was FUN, not stealthy. Some say the series is completely about STEALTH, but its not that way at all. The Sly series was most likely meant to be a new, fresh, and bold idea in the gaming world.

As many have said, the game's stealth does play a part in the game's story and gameplay.
But in the end, fun gameplay will distract you from any flaws in the game or anything players might find lacking.

YES i want plenty of stealthiness in Sly 4, but if the game is 100% fun, the stealth can wait a while. So far we've seen the original gang, Carmelita, Rioichi, and Galleth as playable characters. That sounds like some serious fun to me.
