So I just downloaded this game yesterday and its good fun to play with, my main concern about this game is the graphics. The graphics look very outdated to me and I feel like there is some laziness about them which is a big turn off for the game.
I use the word laziness because from the desktop icon to the ingame graphics everything feels low quality. I am running everything on high and it just feels old. Even on the God's tab all the icons are not very clear for example when comparing to League of Legends all the pics and stuff for the champions are done very nice in league.
You go to their website and see current free god and I get the same feeling there very low quality pictures used. During game I see jagged lines upon close inspection.
Anyone else have the same feeling?

Outdated how? Compared to what exactly? No, it's just you. You clearly don't understand aesthetics or art style what-so-ever.
Haha, comparing it to LoL as well? You cannot be serious. Everything in LoL is low quality texture-wise. You'd know that if you could see anything up close in the game. If you're talking about JUST the icons for the gods: WHO GIVES A CRAP? It's a f***ing tiny icon. No, really, I can't believe that's an issue for anybody. You've got to be trolling. -_________-

I prefer cruddy splash arts and amazing models and field textures over Amazing Splash arts and crap models.
The splash arts in this game are very mediocre, but the graphics are just purely amazing (minus cotten candy trees) and the details are on each character are just godly.
The thing i hate about LoL is that they have such amazing splash arts but then the models are just incredibly underwhelming. Just look at Ahri's tails on her model and compare Zyra's splash to Zyra's Model. Huge difference

I think the graphics are very well done. Especially the amount of on screen effects. The game has an art style and isn't focused on hyper realism

Its one thing to like an art style and another to blatantly lie about low resolution, low polygon counts and flattened texture blankets.
I enjoy the game, but if you think League of Legends graphic quality (especially in their splash arts) is worse, then you are quite delusional.
Granted, their early work was about in-line with Smite's, but theyre a very wealthy company now. I can gaurentee they have higher production costs and pay their artists more.

the game had a pretty big graphics overhaul recently, saying it looks bad is just nonsense, especially when you look at other mobas

I've been playing LoL and Dota 2. Just switched to this game and Smite has way better graphics. Anyways who the hell cares, 10 year olds care about graphics. Lol!
