Chris Watters preps his team before he breaches this video review for SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs.
I'm convinced that the Socom series of late is very under rated. I just hope that Sony and Zipper Interactive continue on with the series, The single player campaign is something I've really enjoyed and is also what I sorely missed in the previous installment.
@dxidaniel yes , it is bad. Dear Gamespot, f:$&k you all hurry up and ban me from the 360 fanboy site
who cares if its not like socom 2 what the hell just play the game man if it sucks it sucks not because it sucks cause its not a true socom game get the F outta here
I may be hearing things but I'm sure the reviewer says '"linking up early on with two Korean NATO soldiers". Korean NATO soldiers. Really?
I must honest admit i finished the game at hard to start with and i def liked it alot, the co-op stuff is pretty cool aswell, and the multiplayer part is great fun aswell. What i never got is why they released the game in europe with a different title then the US. In the US its called SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy Seals, in europa its called: Socom: SPECIAL FORCES. in the trophies section it even says (EU) or (US) besides that, the graphics ar realy good and i seen worser games out there, the team IA isn,t always great sure when you point them out to a cover spot and they go around and go sitt right into the firing line lol. It was a great idea if they did the campaign aswell in co-op.
It looks very good as a game, but after the latest developments, just the idea of playing as Navy Seals is terrifying. I don't want to be part of this craziness,
Wow. I got exited when I heard the title of the game, but they lost me when they metioned first person shooter.
I feel like the movie was easier on this game than it should have been. Were they afraid of Sony or the fanboys? Not sure but what they said in the movie didn't match the 7.5 score they gave it. I played the demo and thought the online was extremely bad in terms of connectivity and such. I think it earned a low rating.
with so many shooters on the market this just doesn't seem appealing. also, the move still seems too silly to me
Playing this at the moment and it's very fun so far. Looks good and the tactical options give this the edge over many shooters. Worth a look.
Horrible, Horrible! They took the old SOCOM style formula that worked and made it to main stream! They did not bring anything new to the table, they went back a few steps! Damn Zipper, why?
"Jhonny, shall we get this one?" "I think we should sir." "Yes, but it's not a First Person Shooter. You can see the person that you control." "Yes sir. Thats Third Person, the classic way of playing games. It's very handy sir." "Well, maybe we should get this one and try this fancy new, Third Person view out." "Third person is old fashion sir."
In New Zealand and other European countries it's called "SOCOM Special Forces" Why? Why give it a different name for different regions? It's stupid.
@dalua have you played this game it isn't run n' gun at all this is just as "hardcore" as any other socom
I'm an old-school-hardcore-player of SOCOM series, and this, imo is a "Hollywood version" of SOCOM. Not for me, not for SOCOM fans. This is a great game for run and gun players. Shame on you Zipper!
I am starting to doubt gamespot's ability to give an honest review. I wonder if they are paid off for reviews. I have watched other reviews with higher ratings get thrashed by negative comments. In this review, which got a 7.5, hardly any negative comments are made. Instead I hear about how good the game is and a few comments of probelms. Makes me wonder.
