Graphics:
For a Dreamcast title this game looks amazing, better then most early PS2 titles that were released around the same time. The games visuals are MUCH better then the first Adventure game and the character models are very well done for the Dreamcast with pretty fluid animation and nice detailed environments.

Gameplay:
The game is more linear then the first 3D game but in this case its a good thing. The adventure field didn't work to well in the first, thankfully the game ditches this for a standard story mode. Sonic and Shadow have the classic speed gameplay and its at its best in this title and has great controls and level design. Tails and Eggman have a shooting rally kinda gameplay in which there in mechs, its surprisingly fun, not as good as Sonic and Shadow but still alot of fun. Knuckles and Rouges gameplay is the treasure hunting levels which has been much upgraded here and is much more enjoyable but has some levels for each that do have some poor design.

Audio:
Best music of any Sonic game (3D ones anyways) and the best voice work by far with all the actors top notch especially Sonic,Knuckles,Eggman and Shadow.

Overall:
This is by far the best example of how 3D Sonic should have been and is by far the best one. With great gameplay,fantastic Dreamcast graphics and actually a very solid story in which at the end is actually touching.
If you love the Sonic 2D games or just like 3D platformers in general then this is a must buy.
