@Warlord_Irochi Indeed. But giving the players a choice in which soundtrack they prefer would do more to unify the Sonic fanbase as opposed to forcing one particular soundtrack upon us.

@RabidBurp Last week I was talking about that; this game carries that problem: some people is going to be disappointed with the soundtrack no matter what; US people is they choose the JP/EU soundtrack and the opposite. Still awesome game nonetheless :).

A truly commendable entry in the classic Sonic era. My only complaint is that the the North American soundtrack did not make it into the game.

first off, i dont want to judge a game because i am a respectable gamer and i really do love sonic... when i was little i use to play sonic for hours and still today i love sonic. this demo of sonic was brillently amazing and i would like to say good job to the fellas with came up with this.. it looks great, guys....

Well according to the information on tssz this game is ported with widescreen support and we'll be able to use either Sonic CD or Sonic 2/3&K physics. @DCUltrapro yeah I meant Universe. I loved the Original on Dreamcast. I didn't like the move to pay to play. Your right though I would love to have the original back it was such a fun game especially online.

@ebookerd1 Sorry when did PSO come out? Its not on the Live Arcade, unless your talking about Blue Burst for PC or the Phantasy Star Universe for 360? I'm talking a DIRECT port of Phantasy Star Online Version 2 for dreamcast, the original and best version. There is apparently a Phantasy Star Online 2 coming for PC but no announement for 360 yet. The PSO ep 1 and 2 for original xbox was rubbish, they ruined all the character classes and weapons and the analogue stick just didn't have the perfect accuracy of the Dreamcast thumbstick. They need to do a direct port of PSO v2 from DC, I would pay a monthly fee and full retail price to play that on xbox with achievements and online etc

Chances are since we NEVER got to hear the ORIGINAL soundtrack, my guess is it will either be an extra or they'll just keep North American soundtrack. Although, I REALLY hope they clean up that grain... it looked pretty bad when comparing it to Sonic Generations. That's why they should completely RESTORE it. It breaks my heart how they treated the Dreamcast games. Or should I say didn't treat them. Everyone keeps saying the Japanese soundtrack was world's better... but I've never even heard it to compare. And what was SO wrong about the NA soundtrack? I loved it.

I am glad to see sonic getting some love, I missed him.

Sonic CD was easily one of the best sonic games ever, but I do think it is very scary the fact that sega can´t repeat the same formula aplied on 5 sonic games in genesis (Sonic 1 - 3, sonic and knucles and CD), so they need to re-lauch the old games.... There are dozen of sonic games made by fans that are way better than those 3d sonic made by sega in tha past few year... Why can't they make a new 2 d adventure just using the old formula form the '90 s?

I'd much rather play an old Sonic game from the 90's ove rthe crappy Sonic games of today. My brother gets all the Sonic games and for most part they're garbage anymore, but Sonic Colors is suprisingly okay. What happened? Sonic used to be the best, now they're just running him into the ground

This is cool, I grew up on the Genesis but I never got the CD add on (thank god) so I never got to play this one, but the first 3 Sonics and Sonic and Knuckles were amazing. I'll have to get this when its available.

Awesome, I'm all for newer Sonic fans seeing the games that people actually liked unlike the new Sonic games which are mainly retarded and thats saying a lot when talking about a series of games based on a fast running blue hedgehog. Either way, its not a horrible thing and it'll get Sega some good money :) and this parts directed at 'nastyhotpocket' and all this with the same argument: If you can resell Mario and Zelda as much as Nintendo have then Sega can certainly do the same with Sonic, the only reason they can get away with doing it is because of the size of the fan base and the entrance of new fans means interest in the older games of the series which ultimately means them buying some of the older games.

Make it the Japanese version. I hate the American soundtrack, so very, very much.

Good thing I still own 2 copies of the Original. I dominated this game. I prefer the English tracks for most of the levels. Now I wish that they would release an updated Eternal Champions 2: Challenge from the Dark Side or a New Eternal Champions with Online play so I can own all of you with Shadow Yamoto.
