Sonic Mega Collection Plus Hints & Cheats

LEVEL SELECT:
Go to options, then go to sound test. Play 19, 65, 09, 17. After you hit 17 you should hear a ring sound. After that press start, hold square. As soon as the menu shows up, keep holding square and press start on one player.

SUPER SONIC:
Do the level select code. Then while in the level select menu, go to sound test, and play 04, 01, 02, and 06. As soon as you hit 06, you will hear the jingle for chaos emeralds. Now just pick a level, collect 50 rings and jump.

Level Select:
During the time it takes for Sonic to load in the beginning, press 'up, up, down, down, up, up, up, up' on the D-Pad. (Note: This is hard to do, but you'll get it right eventually.) If you did this correctly, you can scroll down past the 'Competition' selection on the menu, and you will get an "Options" menu.
Debug Mode:
On the 'level select screen', go to any stage of your choice, hold down the button that is the 'A' button for the Sega Genesis, and press start.

At The Options Menu Go to The Password Menu and input these codes.

In act select mode, choose Mushroom Hill.Grab a elevator and press LEFT,LEFT,LEFT,RIGHT,RIGHT,RIGHT,UP,UP,UP,then reset the game by pressing start and square.In the save box window,press start and HOLD SQUARE.

Go to Options and press Square, down, X, down, Circle, down, Square, X, up, Square, Circle, up, X, Circle, and up. After this, hold down the Square button and press Start on the title screen to play from Round 2. Simultaneously press X and Start to play from Round 3. Finally, simultaneously press Square and Start to play from Round 4.

You have to enter these codes at the options:jukebox screen,to enter each code you must press the c button at each corresponding number.

At the title screen when Sonic is wagging his finger, press Up-C-Down-C-Left-C-Right. Press Start and then hold A until Sonic appears. There should be hex code where your score should be, and the time should have nothing to do with your elapsed act time.

Press B while playing to switch into debug placement mode. Then, press A to switch between sprites or C to place the sprite. Then, press B again to go back to playing as Sonic. Repeat.

Go to the Scneario mode and go to continue.The Following Passwords are for Easy Mode.

Enter these at the bottom of the screen to advance further in Blue Sphere.

After entering the Level Select screen, go to the sound test option. Here, play the songs 1,9,9,2,1,1,2,4 in that order. Hold Square and select your stage. You will know you have done it correctly when the score portion of the screen is turned into a sort of matrix. The square, X, and circle buttons on the controller turn Sonic into objects found in the game and set them on the zone template. This is especially useful when using the Super Sonic cheat. You can enable infinite rings with this cheat.

Start in Angel Island and grab a rope.Then press LEFT,LEFT,LEFT,RIGHT,RIGHT,RIGHT,UP,UP,UP.Reset the game by pressing START and SQUARE.In the title screen choose sound test (it's above the 2 player mode)

Make sure you have a save of Sonic Heroes on your memory card (Any save. You dont have to beat the game). After that, play SMC+ and go to the games section. After that, the game will tell you that they are now playable.

Playing a game counts as seeing the sega screen and then pressing R1+quit after going to the specific game.

To unlock the "Hints" text for each game, keep it open for three hours. You don't have to play the game, just let it run. After three hours, exit out, and when you reenter the game, or check the Hints menu in the Options area, that game's hints will be available.
