this game is all about speed in Sonic Riders where you play as sonic and all of his friends with 16 new courses to choose from. each characters has a different abillity such as...

SPEED TYPE - allow riders to grind on rails

FLIGHT TYPE - allow riders to fly through accelerator rings while riding off the ramp

POWER TYPE - allow riders to find shortcuts ans knock down barricades

you can also attacks your enemies while boosting your gear at full speed. don't use it too much or you will run out of air and you will have to run on foot until you find a power up item, air pit or perform tricks. level 1 is your weak attack but you can collect rings along the way. when you reach 30 or 60, your levels will increase and your attacks will become stronger. but watch out you will lose all your rings and power levels if you get attack by other riders or fall off of high places and you will had to collect the rings all over again.

+ you get to pull some fun tricks while in the air
+ purchase cool new gears at the shop
+ nice cinematic graphics while watching the scene

BAD
- story it too short
- you can't use shortcuts or items in tag mode
- bad survival mode

well that's it!

it may not be great as Mario Kart, but it's real fun once you get the hang of it. it's either your choice. if you're a sonic fan and like racing, then Sonic Riders is the game for you.
